Rear Track Bar Replacement
I felt a vibration in the rear of my 2000 SLE last week, and found what seemed to be a loose rear wheel. I pulled it up on the rack of a friend's shop to find no issues, nothing loose. Dropping it back down and putting weight on it, I was able to move the wheel enough to find that the rear track bar ...

Re: Another HID post: Projectors for 9006 DDM Kit?
Thanks! So, assuming the outputs are AMP (I don't have it at my apartment) I can use H1 bulbs with a bi-xenon Morimoto Mini projector? Thanks again, this stuff confuses me.

Another HID post: Projectors for 9006 DDM Kit?
I picked up a 9006 DDM kit a couple years ago but never installed because I didn't want to do HID "the wrong way." Is there a reasonably priced projector that would fit this kit? Not looking for the best of the best, just a well priced projector that will still be a big upgrade to the stock lights ...

Looks good. Link to the fuel level sensors you buy? I went to the dealer last time.

Re: I really like the chrome GXP wheels, but...
I think your chrome GXP's are the best wheel I've ever seen on our cars.
....but I really don't care for these at all. I disagree with the post above regarding the lip. I think our cars look great with a flush face.

New Transmission
Feels great. I had it rebuilt by a local individual. He doesn't have a lot of exposure or a showy shop, but he does have an excellent reputation with transmissions and ours specifically. As a background, my 2000 SLE has approximately 150k miles on it and was experiencing pcs issues recently. It wasn ...

Re: project: 2000 SSEi (topaz firemist metallic)
Thanks. My concern was with using a primer or sealer that wasn't aluminum friendly and the corrosion returning. But it doesn't sound like he uses any fancy recipe, just good prep work.
I hope the quarter turned out well. I know it would be tempting to finish it 100%, but you know what your flips ...

This is a really old thread, but read through it again and you'll see that he had ALL of the carbon fiber in the car refinished.

Knowing Andrew's deal, I'll bet he did even better than that. Nice work!Sell that trans for 100 (well worth that in the parts alone) and you only spent 150 for the new one

Paint Color/Code for Black 2000
I may start shopping for some base/clear for a few parts of my car. I think it's Onyx black, but I'd like confirmation on that. A code from PPG or Dupont would be awesome too if anyone has it. Thanks.

Re: Mustang 289 vs 231 Bonneville
You'd probably be fine against most since they're older and the carb and ignition are outdated and likely out of tune. But...if the guy knows what he's doing, those are in tune, and he's modified the engine somewhat, I think you'll be on the short end. Most Mustangs that old have had a cam and ...

I guess Sport Edition is now technically considered the manufacturer. It was Mille Miglia EVO 5 previously.

'00 SLE-It's been a while!
First off, thanks again to everyone on the forum that helps troubleshoot issues with these cars as well as providing write-ups for repairs. You guys are awesome! I haven't been around much lately and haven't posted pics in a long time, so I thought I'd throw one up. I was out shooting a couple of ...

If you take some better pictures, I'd say that's COTM material all day long. Any friends have a DSLR camera?

I'd polish the old paint to match the new, but I'm sure you were planning on it.

If you have a ton of parts then I say fix. If you're low on parts then go the other route.
