Spring Cleaning Photoshoot- 2002 SSEi
I bought my Bonnie in August of 2010 and haven't ever really put up any photos of her up and till now because I wanted to do a little modding beforehand. Seeing as the last thing I intend to do is tint the windows all the way around I figured I'd take a few shots and put up a video or two of her ...

Re: 2000-02 Bose System Front Speakers
I had read that the monsoon amp was right around 37 watts rms in a spec article awhile back, I've tried searching for it but I remember the link was posted on a forum and I cant seem to find it now, but it should be obvious that it would be 35 rms peak for the Bose amp...

Re: Need some help with my setup. ADVICE
yep, and what is nice is you dont really have to cut anything. i used the rear deck speakers because they only recieve the bass signal anyways so why risk cutting into a wire that you dont need to....

Re: Need some help with my setup. ADVICE
look into getting an inline converter, best buy sells them for around 25..you will splice into the rear deck speakers and it will create an RCA output for you to run to your amp. in my setup the RCA converter woks best with only one rca plugged in because those rear speakers that are used for the ...

Re: 2000-02 Bose System Front Speakers
I'm not sure why you would want to run the front speakers off the same amp as the speakers you are running at the rear deck...from what I understand, the monsoon/bose amps run at around 40 watts rms, most amps you replace that with or add too can only run at 65 rms max, which is really only needed ...

Re: Door Speaker 03 w/ Monsoon
For future reference, and this should probably be stickied somewhere because everyone tries finding out at some time or another, the Impedance for the speakers in the monsoon system are as follows:
Front Tweeters: 4ohm
Front Door: 2ohm 6.5 in
Rear Door: 4ohm 5.25in
Rear Deck: 2ohm 6x9in
Front Tweeters: 4ohm

Re: Door Speaker 03 w/ Monsoon
The front door speakers on my 02 with the monsoon system are 2ohm..if you replace the speakers with a 4ohm speaker you will notice that you have to turn the volume up higher for louder music.

Re: dimming lights...
if its possible try to run your system at 2ohms instead of 4. At 2ohm your amp has to work less to produce more power, so less power will be drawn from your battery.
I'm running 900 rms at 2ohm and my battery indicator on the DIC never goes below 14.5, even when turned up, and I am not using a cap.

Re: 01 SSEi Audio upgrades...
Thats incorrect information, the rears are 2ohm as well on the bose. And for the record putting a 2ohm load on a system that is designed for a 4ohm load does not make the amp work less, in fact it heats up more and clipping and damage could occur
Thanks for clearing that up about the ohm's on a ...

Re: 2000+ w/bose Commonly Asked Audio Questions
If the stock speakers are noted with 2ohm, and if you replace them with Infiniti 2ohm speakers, why would it cut the sound level in half? As stated about I'm gonna tear my car apart soon and i would like to do it once, and do it right.

Re: 01 SSEi Audio upgrades...
I looked into doing exactly what you were thinking, and then did some hardcore research. What I found was that by just upgrading the speakers in the doors to all 2-ohm speakers; fronts are 2-ohm, rears are 4-ohm, the factory amp will have to work less to produce more sound. If you are looking for ...

Re: Morimoto Mini H1 HID projector in 2000+ Bonneville
Thanks for clarifying Repin. I guess the only other question I have deals with mounting the projector assembly to the housing; is there a specific location or measurement used to determine exactly where it gets mounted in the housing?

Re: Morimoto Mini H1 HID projector in 2000+ Bonneville
If you remove the reflector, you won't have anything to mount to if you're going to use the threaded shaft. The bulb socket tube/hole is a part of the reflector assembly. Like swampthing's swap in this post, the entire low beam reflector bucket was cut off.
It must be too late for me because I ...

man thats horrible news...i was really looking forward to just doing it without problems, not taking the hours to fabricate something to work.
just to clarify; you're using the H1 and not the D2S kit correct, because the H1 kit is apparently 1/2 and inch longer than the D2S, which i figured would ...
