Re: Oil Pan Gasket replacement 1966 Bonneville

Not easy to do in the car. By the time you get it high enough to get the pan off the engine is only a few more pieces from being pulled out of the car. Did it on my 69 GTO only to pull the engine to put in a rear main seal. For gasket I would go with the B.O.P. engineering one piece oil pan gasket ...

2004 Se Door Moldings

I would like to remove the moldings off the doors of my 2004 SE. Has any body else done this? Are these held on by two sided tape only?

Thanks, Eric

New to me 2004 Bonneville SE

Just bought this 2004 Bonneville SE Thursday to replace my 98 Olds 88 that needs new brake lines. It has 111,800 miles, just starting to rust below the gas door and at the lower doglegs behind the rear doors. First owner wrote all maintenance done to it in the owners manual. Had new tires and brake ...

1997 Buick Park Ave Ultra

There's one for sale locally, $2500.00 obo, 142,000 miles. What should one look out for on these? I see they switched platforms for this body style, do the rockers rust out like on my 98 Olds 88? Since it's a pretty loaded car, moon roof, heated leather all kinds of buttons and switches, do they ...

Re: Fuel Pump Issue

I pulled the drivers side cover off, supprisingly it wasn't corroded but some plastic melted into one of the terminals, I'll check the other side tomorrow. My rockers are shot so I'll have to check them every once in a while. At least I know they're there.

Thanks,
Eric

Fuel Pump Issue

My 98 Olds 88 the fuel pump won't run. I replaced it last year in Sept. Saturday I started the car, it ran for a couple minutes and then stalled. Cranked over again and just cranked. Turned key back and removed and replaced, cranked again and started and ran fine the rest of the day Saturday, Sunday ...

Re: 1969 GTO back from body shop.

Looking great!!!

Is that a 400? What's the HP on that engine?

Thanks, it's a 455, don't have any HP figures. This engine in my 62 Grand Prix ran low 13's at 107 mph with the car weighing 4200 pounds and 2.73 gears. The GTO has 3.08 gears and should weigh around 3700-3800 pounds. I put around 30 ...

Re: My new 96 Formula.

Thanks, I paid $5500 for this one, no rust, garage kept. I've always wanted a Formula because I don't like the spoiler and ground affects of the Trans Am. I wasn't really looking when this one showed up on craigslist and was nearby.

Re: My new 96 Formula.

Thanks, the GTO may be driveable next spring, the Firebird I only got to drive it home and park it in the garage as it started snowing. Snow = ton of salt on the roads around here.

My new 96 Formula.

I bought this about three weeks ago 96 Firebird Formula LT1 6 speed. All stock except for the SLP Ram Air hood, rims and catback exhuast. Got it home just before it started snowing. Pictures are kind of dark. http://i352.photobucket.com/albums/r322/pontiac6269/100_0245.jpg http://i352.photobucket ...

Thanks for the compliments, it's factory style reproduction meterial for the head liner and package tray. I've bought everything from PY. The headliner was installed by a guy that does interior work as a side job.

Yes, can feel it at half throttle and gets worse from there.
