My 98 Olds 88 the fuel pump won't run. I replaced it last year in Sept. Saturday I started the car, it ran for a couple minutes and then stalled. Cranked over again and just cranked. Turned key back and removed and replaced, cranked again and started and ran fine the rest of the day Saturday, Sunday and Monday. This morning(Tuesday) it did the same thing as Saturday, carnked, ran for a bit, stalled and restarted, I took off up the road for work and got 1/2 a mile before it stalled again. No start can't hear the fuel pump. I checked all the fuses relays, all good, parts store warrentied the pump and got a new one and a filter. Still doesn't prime or come on. Noticed that my power windows and power seat don't work but everything else does, engine cranks over fine. Am I missing something here? What should I check out?
Thanks,
Eric

Re: Fuel Pump Issue
99.999 percent chance it's a corroded ground bus on the driver's side.

Re: Fuel Pump Issue
Pop the cover off and clean that bar, it's probably all corroded and nasty, and put some di-electric grease on it. Check the one on the other side too.
Bye Bye:

Re: Fuel Pump Issue
I pulled the drivers side cover off, supprisingly it wasn't corroded but some plastic melted into one of the terminals, I'll check the other side tomorrow. My rockers are shot so I'll have to check them every once in a while. At least I know they're there.
Thanks,
Eric
