Monsoon specs

I searched and searched and can't find my answer so if this has already been discussed please point me in the right direction.

I am trying to find the specs on the monsoon system in my '05 Bonneville GXP.

I'm wanting to know the power per channel from the amp in this system.

Thanks

Re: Made a dumb move

add the longest glass pack you can find to the mid pipe. still decent growl under acceleration and will dramatically cut hwy drone.

Re: Ditching The HIDs

my headlights are in pretty sad shape. I plan on looking for new housings with perfect lenses first...then looking into projector conversions and much better fogs.

Re: Ditching The HIDs

I had no idea the lumens on silver stars were the same as stock.

I quit buying silverstars in my teens. No matter the bulb type turn, break, headlight none of them lasted longer than 2 weeks.

I did have the sealed housing style in my 88 300 ZX and those actually lasted. I think they are a dramatic ...

Re: Modified my headlights today

The two oblong shapes wouldn't look right.

Honestly the only time it looks dimmer is when it's just the parking light and this doesn't really matter because if that light is on the headlights are on too.
With the turn signal it's plenty bright, especially since the light isn't obstructed from the ...

Modified my headlights today

I took my headlights out to clean the lenses. While out of the car I decided to do some work on them.

Re: Coolant Flush

My exwife had a '96 Lumina when we were dating.

She never had the coolant changed because her dad kept telling her the dex cool lasts 10 years.

Then in 2007 she was driving one day and every single gasket in the cooling system blew.

That's when she learned about the whole thing with corossion ...

Re: Muffler question

Oh yes I understand all of that.

I'll have flanges and bolts installed so I can swap back the stock mufflers or even glass packs if I feel I need to.

Re: Muffler question

these mufflers are ofset on opposite sides. But I would be putting them in the stock locations and cutting then using some pipe from the muffler to the tip so aligning it wouldn't be all that hard. Even if it meant flipping them over or switching sides r to l.

Re: Muffler question

Well the shelby at highway speeds is fairly quiet, and didnt drone and it had a way bigger supercharged engine, and ran at 3,000+ RPM at hwy speeds to boot.

Someone on the shelby forum I signed up for provided this picture of the opened up muffler from his '08 shelby.

Looks like an uninsulated turbo muffler.

Any idea about the internal design of ours?

Re: Muffler question

Yeah, I know since I'm providing everything it will be cheap to install and if I don't like the way they sound I can just swap them out for glass packs down the road...

Just the way better looking tips has me excited.

Muffler question

Hey everybody.

I have a 2005 GXP and wanted some opinions on something.

I love the way the stock exhaust sounds but am wanting to pursue something a bit louder and a bit more aggressive.

Do you guys know what the internal construction is of the stock mufflers?

multi chamber? perforated tube ...
