Need help: Kia Sportage Manual Trans noise

So my wife's 2006 Sportage started making a noise the other day.

It doesn't seem to matter if the car is warm or cold, but after an acceleration(like coming into our driveway, or exiting a parking lot), when the clutch pedal is depressed a pulsing whiring noise is made. Kind of like an old oil ...

Re: P1652 IAC Monitor Disabled by PSP Switch Failed On

Ok, that's one of the things I mentioned that I found. So then what is this? (http://www.pontiacbonnevilleclub.com/forum/1992/topic8838.html?hilit=p1652 ) IAC Monitor Disabled by PSP Switch Failed On

Both fans seem to be working. So unless the control circuit failure does not cause the either fan ...

P1652 IAC Monitor Disabled by PSP Switch Failed On

Ok, so I got this code (p1652) and I don't really know what it means. :dontknow: Just doing a search on Pontiac Bonneville Club I get results for Fan 2 Relay, but the DTC page( http://www.pontiacbonnevilleclub.com/forum/1992/topic8838.html?hilit=p1652 ) says it is IAC Monitor Disabled by PSP Switch ...

Re: AC Air Flow Changes at different speeds 1997 BONN.SE.

You might check vacuum lines too. The change in airflow could also be the diverter shifting the air around. Start with the vacuum canister in the front passenger bumper area and work back. Usually there or the check valve near the firewall on the passenger side under the hood. Most of the vacuum ...

Re: Steering Wheel radio controls

That said, if you've swapped out your OEM radio with an aftermarket unit, the steering wheel controls won't work anyway because the aftermarket radios lack the necessary circuitry.

That said, a device is made that takes the steering wheel control signal and converts it to IR, so it will run a ...

Re: Poll: How many 00-05's have the 70mph death shake/shimmy?

2nd set of tires, 2 rotations, replaced tie rod ends. Still has a shimmy, very slight, in a very small range, 69-75. We just have to drive fast!! Darn!! My wifes father, a ford mechanic for 35 years, can't figure it out, nothing obvious. It's not bad enough to just start replacing parts willy-nilly.

Re: Air coonditioner issues...again

Finally had enough time off to poke around. Thankfully it was not so hot that I wanted to kill myself. So I was standing if front of the car and just happened to look up and said, that looks like a vacuum line. Whoo hoo, I missed one and it was completely rotted apart. AND it terminated right as it ...

Re: trunk leak issues

It is not really a fix, but if you open the trunk. Look at the bottom edge of the lid, about a 8 inches in from the outside and just outside the area that seals against the body. You should see two rubber plugs, remove them and the water drains with the lid closed. That was happening to my wife's ...

Re: Windshield delamination?!?! yes...

It's new to me too. I have heard of C4 corvettes delaminating but that was when the laminated glass was new and it is just a bubble looking thing near the edge. I have never heard of the glass actually breaking free.

Re: Air coonditioner issues...again

Ok, I will have some time this evening to try that. I visually checked the reservoir and and connection. I did check the vacuum system under the hood and I am 95 percent sure it is not there. But again, I will try the intake cleaner.

Windshield delamination?!?! yes...

My wife comes home says, "Hi, my rearview mirror fell off." I say, "Yeah it looked like it was close last time I was in your car, I got some glue for it yesterday." Her, "oh cool." So then we needed to leave and we take her car. I get in and say, "I thought that piece was gray aluminum I wonder why ...

Re: Fog Light HI beam over ride

At least in Indiana, this would be illegal, so anyone considering this should check their local laws.

will they seriously pull you over for having foglights on with your high beams?
thats ridiculous.

YES!! I was pulled over for having my fogs on within city limits. It was only a local law ...

Air coonditioner issues...again

A couple years ago I lost the ability to control the air conditioner vents on my 98 SSEi. It only blew out the defroster and floor vents. I found a post that diagnosed the problem and fixed it. - http://www.pontiacbonnevilleclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=2884 - Which was so simple and effective ...

Re: 1998 key fob programing.(didnt work) what else could it be?

Ok, I tried doing this on my wife's 2000 SE. I have the whole pig tail but of the 16 slots, only 4, 5, 16 and one more on the bottom have a connector. Making it difficult to jump slot 4-8 and/or 1-4. She has keyless, but lost the original remote then had the dealer try to program a new one and ...

Re: 1998 key fob programing.(didnt work) what else could it be?

Ok some what off topic, I was trying to do this to my 98 ssei and there is not a connector in at the #1 pin. Does this mean I do not have keyless entry? I am going to go through my RPOs later but I just thought I would ask. I haven't tried the second set on instructions, pins 4 and 8, but I will a ...

Yeah Custom that's it. I might try 2 coats since the lenses are already pretty dark. As soon as I am finished moving I'm getting to work on the car and experiment on my broken lens.
