So my wife's 2006 Sportage started making a noise the other day.
It doesn't seem to matter if the car is warm or cold, but after an acceleration(like coming into our driveway, or exiting a parking lot), when the clutch pedal is depressed a pulsing whiring noise is made. Kind of like an old oil field pump. "chhhi-kaa chhhi-ka chhhi-kaa"
I haven't noticed a pattern as to when is does it other than after an acceleration, but not after every accel. And not right away, only after several seconds of the clutch pedal being depressed and only while in gear. I haven't tested whether it is only 1st or all gears.
Any ideas? Fluid? Which is "non serviceable" Release bearing?
I plan on looking at it on Sunday.

Sounds like the throwout bearing is starting to go. Or maybe the clutch isn’t disengaging all the way.
