Heater inlet/outlet pipe seal?
Hey guys, I found what appears to be a dried out seal inside my heater inlet/outlet pipe. I am wondering if there is a Dorman equivalent for the seal or do I have to purchase the entire assembly from the dealer? The GM PArts east catalog indicates that it's "part of 4,7" meaning the adapters but ...

Re: Brass freeze plugs.. are they really this difficult?
Update: Went with the 565-028.1 along with Aviation form-a-gasket. They fit the best despite not being a "recommended part" in O'reilly's database.

Brass freeze plugs.. are they really this difficult?
Anyone know what the official dorman part # for our freeze plugs are (96 L67)??
The GMPartsEast catalog says (part 129) that it is a 1.51'' diameter plug with .31'' thickness.

Matt you're right! The rotor was upside down. Got in out of town this evening, flipped it. Now it sits evenly and the shaft no longer binds!

4T60-E oil pump cover
So I cracked my original oil pump, I think due to the fact that it wasn't properly seated. So I ordered another one and for the life of me I can't seem to get this one to sit flush on the oil pump shaft hole. Here is a video of what I am going through.. any thoughts?

Difference between 96-98 Series II and 99-03?? (Rering kits)
Hey guys, I was looking at re-ring kits on eBay and found that there was a clear distinction between the kits for the 95-98 models and 99-03 models. As far as I know, I thought the engines were virtually the same. What do you guys think would be the difference between these kits?

4T60E Shifter Assembly holding pin/nail
So as I was disassembling the tranny, the pin started coming coming off but the head and part of the body just kind of snapped and broke. Any idea how to take it out at this point? Should I just drill into it?

I should mention, here is what I have done with my L67 so far:
*Block with cylinder bored 20/1000 over
*Diamond Pistons
*Intense Stage 1x Cam
*Yella Terra Roller Rocker Arms (1.8 ratio)
*LS1 Pushrods
*Comp Cams 105
*3.2'' Supercharger pulley
*SLP Headers

Re: Where do these go Part II (L67 Engine Wiring harnesses)
In another thread, I mention that I am switching out the 4t60E HD that came with my car to a 65E HD. To prepare for this I pulled a 1998 SE N/A wiring harness set and PCM that had the big round green 65E plug.

4t60E rebuild kits suggestions
The engine is complete! So EchoSSEI convinced me that before I drop it in, I might as well rebuild the transmission since it has more than 200k miles on it and since I am 7 bolts and 2 drive shafts away from pulling it out. Plus I don't know how all the performance parts on the motor will affect the ...

Re: Need to do LIM gaskets on 97, questions/checklist.
I had gasket material that was stuck to the supercharger and the LIM very tight and used a pretty hard gasket pick on the surfaces. Needless to say they are very scratched up and the supercharger even has some nasty abrasions on the gasket surface. Do you think I should get them resurfaced or do the ...

Rogue: That LIM video is awesome. I tried to browse the site but I can't find if they have any other videos. Do you know if any other narrated videos for "larger scale" repair on these cars?

In case someone needs it
Based on the harness (you didn't say what it was for) I can tell this is a 96 H body SC car.
Ready..this is all from from my head and you can trust it.
A Pcm connectors (match blue to the blue label on pcm and clear to clear)

Where do these go Part II (L67 Engine Wiring harnesses)
Okay, so I've done my best to do a search on this board and many others, but I couldn't find a really comprehensive writeup on the engine wiring. If one exists or someone has pictures with labels from their own rebuild I would be greatly indebted.
