Re: Water Leak above doors
I had the same issue with my 95 years ago, car was in pristine condition.Dealer wanted 650 per side. Not a clue if you can even find it now. Silicone would be your best bet.

Same as above, check out that ground post inside the drivers side foot well. You'd be surprised as to what a little rust could cause

Thanks
The bowties are actually covered with a carbon fibre vinyl I had around. Gold bowties on a black car stood out too much.
That's the only mod for that car

New Ride
Hey Everyone, haven't been around much since I got rid of the Bonneville.
I just purchased my wife a new car, its a 2013 Chevy Cruze LT. We needed something safe and fuel efficient as our daughter was just born.
With the spare time I had before she was born I accumulated over 18 coats of Zaino ...

Re: Help: Radio Lock Out Key ?
Google how to unlock gm radio, there was a number at one time for GM tech support out of Texas somewhere. Someone on some car forum posted all the needed info and dealer number.
I used the number when I had to change batteries in my parents Grand Prix, its been a couple years though not sure if its ...

Re: Go cheap on the rear brakes??
Why not just buy the parts, and find a mechanic that will do you a favour and just pay the labour.
Find the parts when there on sale, and put them away until you can pay for the install.
You cant cheap out on brakes, just think if you hit something or someone how much your deductable is for ...

Re: Please help in my decision re a 97 Bonne.
Pretty much made a trade for another smaller toy, and some tinting done around the house.
Figure about 1700 for the car
Its gone now, but crazy how crappy the market is for a seller, buyers market for sure
There is a 40th edition down this way, search out kijii. It was a descent looking car
Hope ...

Re: Gasket Replacement
Oil pan gasket can be a PITA, but the valve cover gaskets are pretty straight forward
Do you know for sure that your oil pan is leaking, or is it the valve covers leaking.
Start replacing from the top down

Re: Por-15
I did my GN with the por 15, its a bit of prep work to get this stuff to last and look perfect. Just like anything do with paint its all about the prep. I used the por 15 metal prep, and etcher. This was all down after I knocked off any surface rust, there wasnt much but it has to be done right.

The guy with the red marbled paint job on the Bonneville GXP
Hey Everyone
Just wondering if this member is still around, he had a Bonneville GXP with a red marbled paint job. I remember seeing pictures of his car on stone roads.
I cant recall his user name?

Re: The new-ish parts hauler
Very Nice
I have a blue 1998 Ram sport that I picked up last fall. I use it as a daily driver and its a good hauler for Home Depot purchases. Newer tranny and over 305,000km, or 190000 miles. Thing runs like a champ, could compare this motor to a GM 3.8 L just cant kill it.
