Mine maybe the FE1 I remember when I first got it the struts were shot and it was like driving a cloud. Put new struts on the front and smaller wider totes and it handled like a different car. I guess I'll just go for tje sway bars and see how that makes it feel and add on as I feel the need.thanks

autozone tested mine. I WATCHED CLOSLY as they attatched the correct wires making sure it was connected right. you just need the metal part without the coil packs on it for them to test it. they got new ones with lifetime warranty for 99.99 but i went with wells from rock auto with built in heat ...

FIXED IT!!! put a wells icm in it, had it wired wrond the first time :banghead: fixed that then it fired right up and been driving it for a while and letting it idle ...

i think you shoulld stay away from bosch on the o2 sensor. i have heard bad things..just my opinion. i think our cars like oem ac delco stuff lol

im taking the icm to autozone today to find out if its bad. ill be sure they test it multiple times. hopefully it fails! an EPIC FAIL! so i can put this problem behind ALL OF US.

What style ignition do you have? The Magnavox or the Delco? The Magnavox has one solid coil pack with 6 towers, the Delco has 3 coils with 2 towers each.

I'm betting one of two things....the ignition control module is going bad, or it's getting too hot. A quick fix is to take it off the mount ...

gotta have something to do with the new icm and or coil. did you check all the spark plugs and wires? make sure they are all tight. does it do it while at idle?

just out of curiosity is yours equipped with VATS or PASS Key? does a light show as SECURITY while starting? that can cause a no-start condition that magically seems to go away on its own, and in my case heat exasperates the condition.

Yeah its aligned. It wouldnt run right if it want right? I did some pretty aggressive driving after I installed it and it was fine. Its when I got back twice from driving it I sat in the car running for about 5 minutes and it just turns off. No rough idle or anything just out of the blue shuts off ...

i just changed the cps on my 89 and drove it for ten minutes. Let it idle in the driveway and it just shuts off? i checked for codes and it came up with 22 and 23 car will not start until it cools off, but temperature gauge is fine.

I'm having the same problem as you just not as severe. Mine is a no start if it gets hot. I'm gonna change the cps and I'll let you know what I find out tommorrow night
