Re: KR elimination
Mid 13's on a stock valvetrain?
Don't count on it. You'll need at least rockers or a cam to hit that.
True statement.
Anyway, have you replace the fuel pressure regulator yet? Sorry this post is kinda long and I might have overlooked that.

Re: GOT BELT SLIP ?
Give the guy an A for effort, but I wonder if it's needed. Since the Bonnevilles already have a better SC tensioner assembly than the GTPs, that's a cheap upgrade for those that don't have it already. Another cheap upgrade is the Gates belts, much better grip than the Goodyear Gatorbacks. And if ...

Re: Urethane torque axis mount
Sounds like a hijack for the original topic but... I think timing needs to be last.
More hijacking...
If one tunes with a narrow band O2 sensor then the timing should be considered first since the NB is affected by the exhaust gas temps. What I'm thinking of specifically is where people use the ...

Re: Timing Advance and AFR
A lot of people just spew out an accepted fact that 11.7-11.8 AFR is the target for PE mode. I followed this claim without questioning the logic, but I'm at a stage of tuning where I need to ask why. Why?
It's not spewing, decades of industry experience with power adders dictates that 11.7 to 11 ...

Go back and have a look at my suggestions on calibrating a WB. If the voltage offset is 0.2V then the WB results could be quite far off

Re: KR elimination
Umm...the MAF is 3 months new. I think I'm confused.. what's underneath the spot, on top of the SC housing, just past the TB that has 3 hoses going to it (not the PCV)? I thought that was the MAP sensor, however, now I'm guessing it's just a hole for the MAP sensors to measure the air pressure in ...

Re: KR elimination
The 2 MAP sensors are mounted side by side on a bracket above the rear valve cover.
If you raise the BCS you will have less part throttle boost.
The sensor near your TB is the MAF sensor, that's the one that could benefit from a good clean with electronic cleaner.
Cheers,

Re: KR elimination
Your boost gauge is dependent on the accuracy of your MAP sensor. Get a mechanical gauge on that thing at least temporarily to see what you really have.
Sensors as in plural. The gauge sensor has no effect on the pcm. Test them by looking at the other. If the pcm sensor reads differently than the ...

How do I know? Grrr...so frustrating.

I think I need to find a 99 Bonny PCM to write current bin to (have a funny suspicion the PCM Intense sent me has something written to it that I cannot change that is causing a problem). Anyone have a 99 Bonny PCM I can borrow?

Re: Rocker arm ratio from factory -hmmmm
1.8 on stock rockers is myth. There was some dispute at to whether later models had 1.66:1 versus 1.60:1. This may be explained more by production tolerances and measuring techniques than anything else.

Re: KR elimination
We've already been through the explanation of AFR Spark a few times, no?
As for the IFR, well, the 100 kPa tweak is a quicker route, versus playing with the MAF, to fueling the engine 'correctly' while one is trying to discern the effect of Torque Management.

Re: KR elimination Volume 2 (2000 SSEi)
I think I'll ignore Eddie's logs for the time being. I'm looking at some scan logs and it looks like I hit 100 kPa between 27-30 when rolling into the throttle.
For now I'll make a flat PE table once I feel confident on a decision.
