Sea Foam precautions/recommendations?

Sea Foam precautions/recommendations?
I picked up a can and am performing some basic maintenance after my trip to Canada. I'd like to give this a shot, but want to be sure its not going to damage anything.
Looks like most members pour a 1/3 of the can into the supercharger via the brake booster vac line. Is this the best method? It also appears I need to do this until the engine bogs down and dies, then pour some in the gas tank as well.
Am I following the correct procedure?

you can stick the brake booster in the can, but i have seen the can implode from all the suction when doing this. I prefer to pour 1/3 of the can into a cup, rev it to about 2K rpms and suck it out of there with the brake booster line. The car will most likely stall, if not just shut it off real quick. Let the car sit about 10 minutes, and then take it for a spirited drive.
Putting some in the gas tank will clean the fueling system and is unrelated, but it couldn't hurt as long as you have a can of it.

I just keep a spare length of vacuum line around. I don't like the brake booster line because its hard to gauge how much it sucks up. I take off one, say for the trans modulator or something else unnecessary for it being in park, and plug in mu length. Then I usually just suck it right out of the can, the smaller line doesn't cause implosion obviously.
Then shut off, up to an hour, I'd say 30-45 mins, and take it for a drive. Whatever you do, don't REV it in park, I don't understand when people do that.
Anyways, yeah, drive until the smoke is gone, and repeat if you'd like.

I did what bonnevillain suggested and put 1/3rd in the cup, then put the brake booster line in there to suck it up.
After an hour I put the rest in the gas tank and started the car...holy smokes batman!

I'm new to this but what is the reason to use this seafoam stuff?
I just bought a 2000 se a few months ago and it still has dex-cool in it and I've been reading as much as I can. I am now planning on changing the uim,lim gaskets flushing the dex-kill and possibly this seafoam stuff but why?

This is what my throttle body looked like during my UIM / LIM gasket change over the weekend:

I shined it up very nicely, but my question is: even though the UIM is new and perfectly clean, the rest of the engine is not. If I do a Seafoam treatment, is all that going to end up in my cat and all over my o2 sensor?

the short answer is yes. usually, youre fine. but if you wanted, you could probably just take out (and unplug) the 02 sensor before you do it (i assume it would still run, although it would throw a CEL)

Where is one of these vacuum lines to suck the seafoam up? I'm a little confused on that.
