So yeah, about 7:20PM last night, I was driving straight through an intersection when an 89 Camry in the opposing turning lane failed to yield the right of way. I entered the intersection, traveling at ~30 mph while the other car turned in front of me, and this is the result:

That sucks soooooooo bad dude. All the money you put into it just became worthless. That car is 100% totalled, no way it's gonna be worth fixing. I can honestly say I know how you feel. Just be glad you are ok, and that their insurance will hopefully pay for everything. Did you get checked out by a doctor? If not, I would, and bill their insurance.

Oh boy.

Well, on the bright side, the KR issue is solved.

He/she is completely at fault, correct. You said that he/she failed to yield but I like making sure the cops write them as at-fault.

Glad to hear you're okay! Sucks to hear about your Bonne, though. I hope their insurance covers it, and the cops declared the other driver completely at fault.

First off I'm glad that you are okay enough to post here, which I'm hoping means you're physically fine though quite understandably upset...but it looks like your Bonneville did it's job keeping you safe which is the most important thing.

Sorry to say that does look like a total loss. I know how frustrating that must be considering how much work you've put into it to get it running right.

At first glance, it looked salvageable, but after looking at the other pics I don't think it would be worth the effort... I'm glad you're alright, man. Another Bonneville takes one for the team...

BTW, I really hope you get that SOB for what he did. It's really hard explaining to an insurance company that front-end collision was not your fault.

Glad to see you came out okay. That was the same circumstances that took out my Tempo, and wrecking that thing was a hit I will always remember. It hurt, but there was thankfully no injuries. Any better pics of the other car? And how would you describe the feeling of the airbag deployment?

Thats a shame that people are ignorant drivers. I do hope that you are ok, and that everything works out good for you. I to thought that it might be salvagable when I seen the first couple of pics, then I seen the stremline of the body, and the engine mount. It may not be salvageable, but kind of like Paul said now you can get be bigger, better, newer one.

I too am glad that John and Matt were ok... They suffered some air bag burn... But walked away...

Its a shame as the car was low mileage, and in good shape... It was only a couple of months ago that we did the struts all the way around and replaced the PCS... and We did the fuel line repair last Tuesday... Its a shame, but glad the guys came out ok....

Glad to see you're OK. What is the red paint on the hood from? Did you have someone riding shotgun or did the airbag damage the windshield?

The red paint is a hood tattoo that had been removed I think. And when the air bag goes off the cover hits the windshield.
