My Custom Drop and F-Body Front Brake Upgrade

Post by 95naSTA »

I'll post the pics up here in Your Ride and I'll make a more detailed post about the specifics in a Performance thread later.

Summary is:
All new ball joints, front tie rod ends, spring rubbers
2000+ Bonneville front knuckles & wheel bearings
W-Body AGX front struts
W-Body Eibach front springs
Monroe Matic Plus rear shocks (92-99 Bonnie)
Custom F41 spec 2" drop springs (92-99 Bonnie)
98-02 F-body 12" calipers and brackets
12" Powerslots
Hawk Pads
Stainless braided front lines

But here are the pics:

And a shot of how much higher the plunger is. (sweet if your lowered)
Image

Sorry no good before pics but I went from over a hand of wheel gap up front to 1 finger and in the rear a whole hand to 1.5 fingers.

And the ride is nice. 8)

Looks very nice actually. Not disgustingly low like some ricers do, just a nice squat. It actually looks like it was meant to be at that height.

Thanks so far. Yeah I'm happy with the height. And yep, Purple. I like the anodized candy purple color and it goes well with black.

I'm too beat to run across the keyboard with information but everything you would ever want to know is in This Thread.
The plan is to consolidate all that info into a much easier to read format.

That looks nice!

How much more will the springs settle? Some Eibachs on another car I had ultimately settled another half-inch after installation.

Thanks again everyone. I'm glad you all like it.

The good news with spring settlement is I can adjust the height of the rear since it's gas w/ air assist.

Edit-
Got these in the mail today:

Are you going to try something with the rear brakes?

Purple? Maybe on my old car... Definitely different! Centercaps look great too ;)

I've got an idea for the rears but I haven't got any parts yet to try and mock it up.

The whole time/money thing is going to have this on the backburner for a while.

Yep I like the purple. I'm sick of the 3 or so colors I always see.

I wasn't sure which thread to ask the questions I asked...so I left em with the writeup thread.

Absolutely outstanding. That is exactly the ride height I desire in my 93. Handling must be several times much better than before!

And I personally like the purple, almost completely because you just don't see it everyday....and that's great. :beerchug:
