Trickle charging question
Can you trickle charge the battery through the terminal in the engine bay or do you have to go directly on the battery itself? 6 amp or 2 amp setting??
2000 SSEi (Silver Eagle) cleared corners (before accident) new LIM gasket, drilled 180 T-stat, new plugs and wires, new valve cover gaskets, new Supercharger gasket, third brake light overlay. Hopefully soon to start more mods for performance. Also, 2005 White SE totally stock and will remain that way!

Thank you Bob & Vince for your hard work and kindness!!

Re: Trickle charging question
You should be able to charge it no problem from under the hood. If you want a slow trickle them use the 2 amp setting. If it keeps going flat then you will have to check the charge rate from the alternator - if its ok, then your battery is toast.

Re: Trickle charging question
I suggest disconnecting the battery.
I once charged mine that way and I got a service stability system soon indication on the DIC. Lucky tho, it did go away after disconnecting the battery. Never tried it again. Not saying this is common, but it happened with me. The battery in 2000+ bonnevilles is just under the back seat anyhow. Should be easy to avoid the possible risk. Thats just me

I use a Battery Tender trickle charger all the time and connect it under the hood without disconnecting the battery. Works fine.

Well, while we're still off topic......Here's a better pic of my rear window and engine bay.

I'm honoured you chose the same name as mine for your Silver Bonne.
