New to the Club. Just saying "whats up"
Hi everyone, my name is Kyle and I'm from Buffalo, NY. I just bought a 2000 Bonneville SSEI with 89K miles and I figured it would be a great idea to join a Bonneville club. Just wanted to say whats up and look I forward to posting.

I paid $5,400 for the ride including the new brakes and bearings. It has new tires on it already, but the brakes are shot on it so she's getting new brakes, and new wheel bearings on the rear installed by a local mechanic/the dude I bought it from. He's a friend of mine so he cut me a pretty good deal on everything. I plan on having the coolant and tranny flushed before I start driving her. Also gonna throw some new plugs and wiring in sometime this week and do a quick oil change to make sure everything is crispy before I put her on the road.

2000SilverBullet-I'm not positive about the lower intake manifold gasket. Is that something I should worried about with my Bonne?

At 140,000 km you would be wise to replace the OEM plastic framed gaskets with the newer aluminum framed ones, as soon as possible.2000SilverBullet-I'm not positive about the lower intake manifold gasket. Is that something I should worried about with my Bonne?
Less chance of coolant leaking into the oil and taking out your engine.
For a pleasant "sound" experience (and a few extra ponies) you should remove the factory air intake and install an Intense fender well CAI kit.
If you really want to wake it up, improve your exhaust with PEM's or headers and drop to a 3.4 pulley.

Before you do the exhaust and pulley work, you should have the car scanned, paying close attention to knock reduction, air/fuel, and fuel pressure. Make sure that your systems can keep up with the extra demand.
Anyway, Welcome to the Club! You're in a good area, as we have a number of members in that region, on both sides of the border. (Watch out for the Canucks, they'll have you smuggling car parts across the border before you know it...
