It's not looking like it's a direct swap:

Seems like attachments are reversed, but if those are same size, you just turn alternator another way?

Only problem is, is there enough room for fatter 140a alterntor and is belt routing in same distance. I mean is measure same pulley top to alternatoe case.

Its possible to turn alternator bottom in another side if + wire connection is too low.

I wonder basic 105a newer alternator is easy to fit but bigger 140 :dontknow:

Honestly, without trying it, I doubt you'll know for sure one way or another.

you gotta make sure the mount positions are the same take good pictures + measure: you can always make your own bracket for mount.

you can always have your own alternator refurbished.

I know I'm late to the party here...

Yes, the 93 alternator will physically fit, but some modifications are needed. In addition to mounting reversed, the orientation of the output stud (as well the angle and tab on the big wire) are different and need to be modified.

I had one on my '89 Lesabre for a while, not bolt in but can be made to work.

I got it and it places fine even + wirr bolt but engine harness is stuck on bottom.

So alternator wont touch smaller bolt hole.

Longer belt or harness with new location will help.

I vaguely recall pushing some wires out of the way. It was a while back, so I couldn't tell you if I had to un-tape the loom or what I did to get around that. I think it's the harness that went down to the crank/cam sensors.
