As I said, I went to check out how much work my SSE needs and I'm terrified of amount of work needed to get rid of rust 8-[ I'm scared mainly about subframe mount, is it worth fixing?

The rust pictured doesn't seem too bad, just the hole in the fenderwell.

The big question is whether or not rust is consuming structural parts of the car, and whats going on underneath. That is the ultimate question.

Yeah, but I'm worried mostly about subframe mounting point:

Image

What I know is that whole car underneath went through rebuilding a couple years ago, but some of the untouched parts of chassiss rusted.

I cleaned that black paint and i'm getting ready to stick some red foil on them. That's the only way to give them "restored" look

Today I began working with rust :)

Started with this:

Image

Image

This freaking piece of concrete-resin-whatever-it-is came from mudguard. It weighed almost 2 pounds!

Image

After 4 hours I came to this state. Both rear doors are done and primed + fender at one side is waiting for some new steel and welding

I'm digging what you were going for in the tail lights. I was thinking of doing something similar.

It's going on  Two days ago started working on rear right wheel well. At the beggining it looked fine but it turned out to be imposed with a thick layer of fiberglass-resin. When I peeled it off huge amount of rusty holes showed up and ultimately I had to cut off probably like 60-70% total surface of wheel well :eek2:
Unfortunatelly I don't have any pics from removing rust, but you can see how much steel I had to use... But luckily all structural parts of the body is not touched by rust.

I'm going to finish that well and lay on it some kind of rubber preservative so my repairs will not be visible
