Get it done at some point. Your trans will love you for it. Along with the cooler.

With the shift kit I would suggest an external trans cooler. This also helps lower and maintain a lower trans temp, which is healthier for your trans.
For the shift kit it really is only taller sleeves and firmer springs. This can be pieced together rather easily too, for others out there.

This is for my 99 but it gives you the general idea of what can be done. Some like me bypass the radiator all together and some run the cooler after the radiator cooler, this way it helps get the tranny up to temp faster. Then the cooler will help maintain the temp verses letting it go up to 195*-200* like the coolant.

This is the write up on the homemade shift kit I did. I know you went another route, nothing wrong with that. Just getting the info out there for the other options.

The link in the post for the shift kit parts write up doesn't seem to be working.

Here's another one I found that has a good write up on parts and install.

Got the proper TransGo kit today...instructions and parts look right and number on the box matches trans type. Yay!

I also took a closer look at my front engine mount and it looks like it could be split. I did a couple searches and reading on the hockey puck mount vs replacing the stocker. While the former is cheaper, the lifetime warranty on the latter helps the argument for direct replacement. I wouldnt mind the improved performance from the hockey puck but if it was anything like the poly dogbones I tried on my GP then forget it. Transmitting engine vibration that makes things buzz isnt my cup of tea. I assume the different configuration of rubber washers/bushings could help but if I try it I'll be prepared to yank it back off if that dreaded buzzing comes thru at all...especially at highway cruise speeds.

Use some poly end link bushings in conjunction with the pucks, shouldn't have issues with vibrations.

One member used a boat roller in place of the pucks, with no vibrations.

Swapped out the motor mount with a new stocker this past Tuesday...bottom bolt anchor was 90% split.
I purchased some blue junior hockey pucks, but the boat roller idea has some real merit I think.
Also, my ZZ aluminum pan arrives so waiting for nice weather day off to tackle the TransGo kit.
