Gen V vs. Gen III
What exactly is the difference in the snout, housing, rotors? I know the series 3 used the drive by wire throttle body, but is that the only difference?
I ask because I have 3 M90's but one was a spare and i'm not sure what engine it came off of. It does look a bit different though, it has a blue steel kind of paint on the whole housing and snout. Would this be a Gen V? I was told It was going to go into a 2003 GP if that helps.

Easiest giveaway is probably the lack of a threaded hole on top of the gen v. Everything is different between the two, but thqts the easies giveaway off thebtop of my head.

I remember reading somewhere that even a ported Gen III won't touch a Gen V.

Into perspective, a stock Gen V was 20hp more than a stock Gen III car. Other than the drive by wire, and factory U bend delete, everything else was the same. Typically, stepping down a Gen V to a 3.4 pulley was like running a 3.2 pulley on a Gen III. Its all about improved design, inlet/outlet sizes, and efficiency.

Outlet is way different, inlet is bigger and smoother,also the coating. Quite a lot is different.
