HVAC Blower motor has a mind of its own

Post by sporsref »

My 2003 SLE has the climate control. It will show that the fan should be operating on high and sometimes it runs and sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it will come on or shut down when I 'm going down the road. Any advice?

Same problem happened to me, replaced the motor, problem solved! It's a simple fix too.

I'm on like 3 years with mine acting up. It works fine, but when it's really cold I usually have to smack the dash hard to get it to start up. I could tell this past year it's getting on it's last legs as it didn't blow as hard, and the heat doesn't really kick in until I turn it up above 80. I just need to to make it one more winter.

It's such a super easy replacement on the 2003. Why torture yourself?
