The TH125 3 speed transmission is actually out of a 1987 Grand Am with a 3.0 V6 and is VERY heavily built and is holding up just fine.

Here is one crappy video of it running with a junk sc tensioner pulley making noise, a vacuum leak, and about 3 or 4 minor exhaust leaks... The video has a very high idle, like around 1,000-1,100 range, normal idle is right around 650-750rpm and sounds much better. I'll get a new video soon with everything working proper and not leaking, this old video sucks!

Not bad at all!! What do you have for a muffler?

Is there enough room for you to slap a FWI on there? That would sound badass

Even with the vac leaks in that video, that thing's got 5x the throttle response of my buick...I want a ride in that thing !

*on the record as a believerr in the low 12's catagory, but with the usual disclaimer: low 12's on a good launch with minimal wheelspin. ( good luck btw) But, even on a sh!tty pass, I bet she's good for mid to high 12's all day long with the occassional low 13 second pass in on hot humid dog-days of summer. No matter what, HUGE kudos for the swap man, no matter what it does in the 1/4, it's still a bitchin' car imho.

I have a dynomax super turbo muffler on it right now, and I hate it! Plus glasspacked mufflers and boosted cars don't mix, they tend to blow out right away and sound like butt! I plan on putting a chambered flowmaster on instead very soon! Yes, there is plenty of room for a FWI, now that my battery is in the trunk. My custom FWI is almost done being fabbed up as we speak!

My bracket for my coils is a factory bracket off of an 87 grand am with the 3.0 V6, works nice, short plugs wires in back, long up front, opposite of the Bonne's.. :beerchug:

A little more info on the cam? INTENSE blanks won't even come close to working in a Series 1, even with the proper grind. IIRC, the lobe and boss spacing/stagger is very different.

What are the grind specs? Which manifold (walled or unwalled) did you choose? Who did your porting on that, the SC, and the heads? What does your SC porting look like?

All these questions have a direct bearing on what time you'll run at the track. I for one seriously doubt 12's because of the restrictions of the 92/93 throttle body and Gen2 supercharger. I can see 13's, maybe in the mids.

I don't have any more info on the cam, as stated... I didn't say it was an  INTENSE  blank, read more carefully... All my porting was done by my engine builder... You can say I'll run 16's if you want, but since I already posted the mph it runs, that seems slightly unlikely... I've done my research and built multiple custom cars and trucks, so...

Thank you very much to everyone who gave the car mad props! :beerchug:

Notice willwren didn't say you said it was an INTENSE blank either...Bill is our resident Series 1 L67 guru and all-around Flow-meister. If you've come up with something new for the S1, trust that he'll want to know everything about so he can test it for himself...

Like I said, my money is on 13s, but I won't be shocked by 12s.

That info can be found on page 1. Please remember that my car is 1000lbs+ lighter than a Bonneville.

My FWI is in the works. I haven't had much time lately, I'm in the process of moving, and I did up a couple demo derby cars for the county fair that was last Sunday...

i don't think 12 13 maybe i think traction going to be a problem and there always a few bugs and tuning to do on a new engine swap we can predict a lot on paper but often there some surprise at the track

I found the 30lb/hour injectors but didn't see the amount of boost anywhere.

By my calculations you should be making about 320-340 horsepower which is extremely good for a series I and I look forward to seeing your timeslips, keep us posted!

My max psi kinda depends on the outside air temp and humidity too, it varies a bit... I usually see around 12psi, but honestly 11-13psi. The car has been basically "done" now (mechanically) for about 16 months. I drive it every day, and haven't really had any major issues thus far. It hooks pretty good on the street, but torque steers a little to the right off the line. :hail: Hail to the 3800 :hail:

You need to make the trip up to Rock Falls (Eau Claire) on September 20th so I can see and video this car in action.
Should be a fun day with all the guys and gals of MNClubGP out there as well as my car getting rockers, 3.4" pulley, fine tuning, and drag radials that day so we can do some side-by-side runs.
My 300+ CHP Series II SSEi vs your 300+ CHP Series I Grand Am should really impress the W-body crowd.

Nice coil placement! Are you using 3.8 LG3 wires? If you aren't, they'd be absolutely perfect.

Sure is a tight operation you've got going there, that's quite insane. :bluetwitch:
