How to do a 0-60.. (Video - Updated)

Maybe I just don't know how to drive an automatic lol

everyone is saying that my 0-60 is slow, i just did one and it was 11 seconds (exclude the signature)... so like.. maybe i'm wrong but don't you just make a complete stop (0) and then stomp on it? or do you have to have sensitivity meaning this much pressure is 2nd and this much is 3rd ??? seriously..?

I'd much rather drive a manual because i want to shift in automatics and that's a big no no...so maybe i'm just a dumb one and i don't know how to drive lol

That's exactly it, but what are you timing with? If you use a watch or something, then it is not right. Because you have your reaction time with the watch. If you use a G-Tech timer, or have a scanner w/ timing abilities, then it is within a tenth or so.

you might want to get a stopwatch, cheapest way to do it, not 100% accurate but better than 1 mississippi

should i attempt to not squeal my tires? because doesn't that lose time? When i did the test i made sure i didnt squeal...

I've heard that if you put your car in 2 instead of drive that you'll have tighter shifts or something? I can't remember. Also, while it does help to brake torque, I wouldn't brake torque with full throttle. I usually do around 1/4-1/2 throttle and then mash it once I release the brake. Also, make SURE your car is fully up to temp before flooring it

a true benchmark for the vehicle...so there are no variables...just have it in Drive, make sure you're at a complete stop...release the brake, and mash the gas to the floor. the timer starts the second you hit the floor. don't try to do anything else, and don't try to not do anything else..just mash it. taking a video is the easiest way to tell.

no...you don't have to change your gear ratio...and doing so would be rather unnecessary...especially with gas prices the way they are nowadays.

I counted a liberal 10 seconds, almost flat. In what dimension is that 9? That isn't BAD, but it *should* be ever so slightly faster, stock...and if you have a chip, that SUPPOSEDLY gives you 20 hp, AND an improved torque rating...that's still pretty bad.

But that's a good 0-60 run and video. That's exactly what they consist of.

Make sure all of your car is up to date on a maintenance list, a maintenance list can be found with an easy search here on the forums, as I have written it over a few times, as have others.
