The Outcast

Post by LeSabreUltra »

I posted this on the other forum, now that I've found this one I'll clean it up a bit and post it here, too.

Not my car's name, but fitting because it's not a Bonneville! It does have the same genes though.

Pics and stuff:

I like these.

I like this one too.

And this one.

Image

I need to stop myself, so I'll finish with this one.

Image

And an acceleration video. I now have an Intense FWI setup instead of the crappy homemade FWI I had so it may be a bit quicker now.

Image

Now I need to work on getting my sigpic back.

Thanks, I know they're a bit overdone since you see them now on anything and everything but I put them on there as a callback to the Buicks of the 40s and 50s.

And more recently too, since they've started putting them back on there.

Do you have any future additions you are going to make?

Eventually the plan is to swap out the power train for an L67 and compatible transmission. Before the engine goes in, I'll probably do all the fun stuff like put in a cam, port and polish the supercharger, etc.

It's still several years off so I've got time to plan, but that's the general idea.

Right now I've got a Flowmaster 80, MagnaFlow Cat, Ported lower manifold, and an Intense FWI. Gets it moving pretty good but well, you always want more.

Hey, while you're in the L67 mood, swap out the grille, maybe the hood, headlights, fenders, bumpers, side moldings, door handles, trunk and tail lights. That should make it look more like a Bonneville! :)

I would remove the Buick emblem in the grill to make it look a little more sleek. That is a clean looking Car, how many miles do she have?

I know what you mean, but unfortunately under the badge there is a large, circular chrome backing. I've even thought of switching to a pre-97 Park Avenue grill but they don't fit on 97+ LeSabres.

Just rolled over 147,000 miles but it doesn't look like it or drive like it at all. Been garage kept since new. Even the inside is without flaw.

Also have an APN upper intake, the aluminum gaskets, and no Dex-Kill in it. Should be good to go for a long time.

One of the nicest LeSabres I've seen! Definitely needs wheels to give it a more personalized look though...

x2 - Wheels would definitely set it off. Still looks nice as is though. I like the exhaust tips too. :beerchug:

Thanks everyone!

I agree about the wheels. A part of me really likes the sleeper look those stock 20 spokes would give, but then again it would be neat to see a set of sporty looking 5 spokes on there, or a set of crosslaces painted silver or black, even.

Not sure yet! Eventually, everything I want will be done.
