Ok here she is in all her glory.
damaged rear bumper cover
nasty wheels
hood herpies
cracked paint
dirty interior...I should have taken pictures of everything I pulled out of the interior/trunk. There was so much stuff, you couldn't even see the seats or carpet. I filled my 55 gallon garbage bin half full.
202,836 miles
good oil pressure
cigarette ash everywhere, this is after I vacuumed... heated seats don't work.
cracked console lid
sagging visors and sunshade
trunk after I cleaned out all the crap
decently clean engine, runs good
it was kinda nice out today, so I figured I'd get started on it. I pulled the wheels off to bring them inside to thaw them out. I'll clean and polish them once they get to room temp.
also swapped the hoods already, I couldn't stand to look at hood herpies of that degree.
the new hood isn't perfect, but much better on the eye.
the hood/bumper gap will need to be adjusted when I have the front bumper cover off.
I also ordered a transmission from MI this morning for $400 shipped. It has 124k and has a cracked side cover (easy to swap), hence the cheap price of $200 + $200 shipping. There were no trannys available locally, and the prices on the other ones were in the $600+ range. I think $400 shipped is a great price, and I'm already under budget.
Here is a basic to-do list.
Swap tranny
paint rear bumper cover
paint front bumper cover
find 3 center caps
swap back seat bottom
possibly swap front leather seat covers
find a good console lid
swap visors & sunshade
possibly swap front passenger doors as I have a good one, and this one has a kink in it
get some better tires on it, already lined up
swap driver rear window trim
