Agreed....I don't understand why he would sell it for less and he keeps the title....why is the title worth $1100 to him?BonneMe wrote:Another 1100 for the title? Sounds shady... How hot is the car, or how much did he have left on his loan he's going to just let default?

LOL Jason. Might not be a bad thing to run the VIN or plates by a DMV? Did you at least get a bill of sale? (I know you're not stupid)BonneMe wrote:Another 1100 for the title? Sounds shady... How hot is the car, or how much did he have left on his loan he's going to just let default?
There have been meets in MN no less, with fewer Bonnevilles..

Not sure yet, maybe $600-700.petraman wrote:I would love to buy that transmission from you, if only I had the money... just curious, but how much would you sell that for?
Junk, but I do have a mint one.Black Pearl wrote:Hows the console lid?
I have no doubts the other tranny doesn't work. If it doesn't just more work on my part. Selling a tranny with 10k on it will make a lot more than a tranny with 90k on it.fuelforthesoul1999 wrote:I know you said you'll swap in the engine but why not just swap the whole powertrain since you know it works. I could be wrong but the last time I saw your other thread, you said you drove the maroon SSEi up to like second gear and it "seemed" to work.
Well I know its not stolen because I found old insurance cards in the car with his name on it. He paid $18k for it back in 2002. However, he did say he has "a couple thousand" left on the lean against it. I'm pretty sure he will let the loan default, and thats his own problem, because by the time they come looking for the car, its going to be about 6" tall and naked. I also doubt he is hurting for money, as he pulled up in a brand new dually SuperDuty, lifted to the sky, with 37" tires. It could have ran over my truck. And yes, I did get a bill of sale, with all his info short of his SS number.BonneMe wrote:Another 1100 for the title? Sounds shady...
