I decided to clean my car up a bit before a roadtrip:











I kinda goofed up and left the wires and such hanging there in the last pic. And the turtle collection is thanks to my girl.

During the road trip.. There's a couple of my buddy's E55 AMG and 330. My car definitely looks out of place but that's ok.

That's amazing. It is the DaVinci model of the Series-II Bonneville. Dropping the body 3" and bringing the wheel/tire size up, you put the visual proportions very close to the ones used by designers today. (My wife is the art and composition guru, you'll have to ask her the specifics. She saw the full sideview picture at cardomain, and demanded I fit her SSE that way. ). To me it just looks great, and the odious wheel gap is gone.

With the cam, heads, and supporting mods, I'm guessing she goes, as good as she looks.

They're off an M5.

I got the lights in but they aren't mounted or aimed yet. I did almost all of the cutting work and I wired them up.

Thanks guys.

Worked on mounting them today.

Top mount with tape to temporarily protect the light from the hood:


Bottom mount.
I used the original angled piece along with some aluminum strips. When tightened, this sandwiches the bottom of the housing.


Side mount.
Bolts to the bottom of the housing and I ran a bolt through the vertical rad support forward. This pulls the light back into it's socket.


Without that second sandwich mount even tightened, the lights are really sturdy. I'm pretty happy with it.

Next I have to aim them..
