I would prefer the chrome/aluminum mesh too, like what looong4 has. I will probably look into that sometime.

Is there an easy way to make plastic parts look "chrome"? I know the chrome spray paint doesn't really work that well - it pretty much just looks like silver paint.

If you know a place that could chrome plate them...otherwise there's no way I can see, because chrome paint is a joke IMO.

Sure is one hell of a looker. I really don't prefer the swoopies in any standings, but being that clean...they can hang. The whole *dang* car just GLEAMS!

Looks like you take pretty good care of the leather too. What do you use on it?

Weird... The boost gauge is all white in your car, or is it just the camera? The boost gauge in our '03, the needle is yellow, along with the little dash under 8 - 10 psi. Also, boost and psi is red even with the key out


Anyways though, VERY nice. I really like that alot better then the black.

They do pop out, that's how I painted them...isn't your grill an aftermarket insert? I don't know what they are stock on the SEs.

The almost "grill-less" look is better IMO. I don't like the silver line around the edge of the grill.

I like the silver grill much better, but you're right, it wasn't until I posted the pics here that I noticed the silver 'line' that surrounds the inserts, and I wasn't really crazy about THAT part. I may try masking of everything but the edge and paint the edge black, and see how it looks. Probably will do a P-shop of it first.

EDIT, looking at it better, the only way to do that effectively would be to paint the inner surface of that edge too, which would require some anal brushwork, and it doesn't bother me THAT much at all to go through the trouble.

Pete, I was thinkin about grille paint also, and I was thinkin an accent color like silver or red. Red is really my main thought but I have no idea how it would look, I guess I could just repaint if I didn't like it. Being that the grilles are so recessed the red would still be in the shadows and would work with the front badge, I think.
What's your thoughts?

I have also thought about a possible bubble cover or lighting where the grille is recessed. Don't holler just yet, it is just a thought. Maybe bringing the grille forward like on the GXP's? I dunno?
