Re: 97 ssei problems and parts list
I had the same problem with another 3800 car I had with the repetitive misfires always reappearing and it turned out that it was the lower intake manifold gaskets leaking. Once you get that done I'll bet you'll be fine.

Re: Snow ability.
Although my SSEi does superb in the snow, I even had to drive around a jeep and go up a hill it couldn't <grin> once, my 96 Olds Regency was even better. And I had the same snow tires on both so that's not the difference.

The H724 has been around for a bit and has an awesome reputation. Everyone seems to be making there own on that curved tread design and those are getting some good reviews too.

This was/is my winter rat. We've had this car for over 7 years now. 103kMiles to 173K miles.
I actually like this car alot.
From the perspective of being a grampa that likes to pickup his grandkids I think I'm going to just sell it. I'm not real concerned about my safety but I don't think I should ...

Yeah, on a school bus, the other car is the crumple zone for sure. However, my Dad, who drives a school bus now, was rear-ended by a semi this fall. Its not a difficult repair, you can definitely do it yourself if you have the time and facilities (ie - warm garage)
