Re: Fuel pump not working

Dont forget to check/bypass the fuel cutoff-impact sensor which is like a mechanical breaker that trips on impacts and cuts off all electricity to the pump.

Re: 97 ssei problems and parts list

I had the same problem with another 3800 car I had with the repetitive misfires always reappearing and it turned out that it was the lower intake manifold gaskets leaking. Once you get that done I'll bet you'll be fine.

Re: Snow ability.

Although my SSEi does superb in the snow, I even had to drive around a jeep and go up a hill it couldn't <grin> once, my 96 Olds Regency was even better. And I had the same snow tires on both so that's not the difference.

Now the rabbit does well in snow but not when theres a frozen road ...

Re: New tires. Hankook h724

The H724 has been around for a bit and has an awesome reputation. Everyone seems to be making there own on that curved tread design and those are getting some good reviews too.
Altimax rt43, Dunlop sig2, Cooper cs4's to name a few. I like the looks of the Dunlop myself, seems like it would handle ...

Having been there myself, I'm in with the CPS crowd if its still does it after you replace the IAC. At least swap it with the one that isn't getting the iac code.

I wouldn't look at it in this perspective. I would rather think that its enticement for you to come up with your own path so that we end up with many roads instead of just one which may not even be the best route. Hopefully there will be a few ways to do ...

This was/is my winter rat. We've had this car for over 7 years now. 103kMiles to 173K miles.
I actually like this car alot.

From the perspective of being a grampa that likes to pickup his grandkids I think I'm going to just sell it. I'm not real concerned about my safety but I don't think I should ...

Re: Where to get tires CHEAP!

My Bonnie has them (for now). OK, I got them waay cheaper than if I wasn't "working" there: the junkyard! I got one with a flatspot, but I have "gotten used to it" Tony

Tony, what I was told and tested when I was younger was to move the tire to hub (or axle if you 2 tire burnouts) that does a ...

Any frame experts out there? Is this JY material, is it worth dropping a new ...

Yeah, on a school bus, the other car is the crumple zone for sure. However, my Dad, who drives a school bus now, was rear-ended by a semi this fall. Neither have crumple zones, he had just dropped of his last elementary child, police report stated that if the bus was full, the jolt would have been ...

The dealer wanted $700 but that was like 4 years ago.

Its not a difficult repair, you can definitely do it yourself if you have the time and facilities (ie - warm garage)
