Re: Where does the oil leak come from?
Mine appeared that way also, after I degreased the bottom end real good, the problem was more apparent and when the oil is hot it will spread and make it look like other parts of the motor are leaking.

Re: Recomended Transmission fluid brands?
All is true, but a good rule of thumb is, if the transmission has never been rebuilt, put back in it what came in it from the assembly line.

Best advice, get some good degreaser, brake pats cleaner works excellent too, spray the area around where it is leaking, clean the whole area, take a test spin of 5-10 miles and this should narrow down ...

I mentioned about painting some GP wheels awhile back, after sand blasting them (which revealed many bad pit spots) sanding the lip with a greaseless 80,220, then 320 and hitting it with Mothers mag and aluminum polish the lip turned out pretty good. In the pics are of a wheel taped up and hit with ...

Re: Quick wheel question
I'm thinking about rolling old school, some smoothies with baby moons and fat white walls.... It'd be something different. I have been looking at wheel vintiques smoothies, only thing is I would have to use a wheel adapter from 5x115 to a basic 5x4.5.... Dunno if I want that pressure on my hubs.
