Re: Trans swap, 96 sse into a 1994 ssei
The sse is N/A.. I'm fairly competent at turning a wrench, but Im definitely considering getting help from some locals, who are more knowledgeable then me. I think the hassle would be worth it tho, I'm limited by time, and space unfortunately, so hoping it's not too major of a project

Trans swap, 96 sse into a 1994 ssei
Ok, heres the skinny...I stumbled across a SUPER CLEAN, LOW mileage, good running 94 ssei, no rot, bonnie thats needing a transmission..I have a 96 sse with a good tranny..from what I THINK I know, the trans' are the same minus some heavy duty components, correct? Would it feasible to swap these out?

Re: Rear air struts replacement.. alignment needed?
I meant to say top to bottom, too. I guess what I don't get is why didn't I have the same problem with the driver side?? Would the wrong torque on the nut that connects strut to the bearing cause this issue? The alignment was straight on before this job..

Rear air struts replacement.. alignment needed?
Hello, just replaced my rear struts on my regency, driverside went fine, but the passenger side tire is slightly toed inward after replacement.. Not sure if I over-tightened the top mounting nut or if an alignment is needed. Any insight would be appreciated, thanks!

Motor swap
Hello, I'm curious if a 96 3800 from my bonneville will bolt right into a 2001 impala patrol car with the 3800? Theres a municipal department selling some for 350 not running, that I'm looking into. Also, how difficult would it be? Any and all information given will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Re: Air shocks adjusting at stoplights?
Did you ever solve your problem? Im having a similar issue, but my pump isn't constantly running, and you can feel the pressure build up in the bladder in the struts..couldn't find any significant leaks with soapy water, but within a half hour or less, the struts seem to dump all the air out. Just ...

Re: Think I'm in trouble..
I'm in illinois, so no safety inspection. I was too desperate for something cheap and didnt expect anything like this unfortunately. Lesson learned, don't trust ANYONE selling a used car without inspecting it top to bottom. I'll probably post an ad up with some pictures next week and see if anyone ...

Re: Think I'm in trouble..
600 or 700 dollars I probably wouldn't complain too much since thats around what I paid for the car anyways. Then figure scrap the rest for 300 or so and I actually end up coming out with some extra money. IF I ended up keeping it until february, a buddy of mine is trying to convince me to buy a ...

Re: Think I'm in trouble..
tis the section you speak of =/. What a shame, the car runs and drives great, everything works. Guess I'll drive it til I cant anymore. Cash is insanely tight unfortunately. Hopefully it'll carry me through a few months til I can scrape some cash together. Excuse the stupid question, but when this ...
