Re: Things to tidy up???

If you can, I think you have above freezing temps, maybe just test this water leak since you have the carpet out. Spray some some water up under the doors, mimic driving in puddles.

Re: Okay, looked for an hour for codes.Little help please.

For that many codes there has got to be a ground, module , etc that went out.

Are your ABS/BRAKE/trac controls on the dash on?

Is the Trac control light off on the center console?

Re: Fuel filter recommendations and other question

The filter is not covered, never heard of a filter cover gasket....on diesels but that's it.

The filter is on the passenger side, behind the engine, under the axle. You'll see it.

Fuel filter, I would just with not a fram one. Say off the shelf from napa or car quest, etc. Fuel filter is by the ...

Re: Coolant issue.

Gaskets and your time.

You don't have the upper intake manifold since you have a supercharger but the lower intake manifold gaskets are really prone to failure.

Re: New winter beater

I HATE my auto 4wd function, never have used it since after the first time. I really wish my 05 had the manual stick, just dont trust the electronic stuff. my 94 Yukon had the classic front axle actuator fail.....right after a snow storm....D'OH!!!!

Hmm.... I guess i didn't really consider the e85. It's a new concept to me and i haven't really looked into its benefits yet. Never realized it could do that much.

Re: Wiper Blade Input

You guys think about wiper blades too much lol.

I put on about 25-30K a year, I go through 2 sets a year. I go beam style, no matter the brand. When they start streaking I let them go another month then replace. Like I said, use the washer fluids that have the water repel in them. After awhile you ...

Was there any noticeable wetness under the carpet? Or any surface rust like there may have been wetness at some point?

Re: 2005 Bonneville GXP( mpg, filters etc?)

Royal purple is a HUGE waste in my opinion. These cars don't need nearly half the additives they put in that(for high rpms, high heat, etc). A regular brand synthetic should net you less than half the cost of the RP and change about 7k mile intervals.

If you have a $20k race engine, by all means ...
