Re: 1998 Intrique overheating - all new parts, stumped

electric fans. The fan temp sensor. If the fans don't come on soon enough no amount of spinning will cool it off. See what temp the fans come on at.

Had this issue with a buddies porsche. new fan sensor and all fixed.

Re: 96 Silverado hazard lights don't work

Ok, not to be "stupid" but isn't 96 still a year where if the bulb is bad it won't work. Or if the bulb is wrong or half the element is bad ? I know on my old 92 ciera when the bulb went out the turn signal would just light the indicator on the dash but not actually flash the lights.

Re: Found a flipper!

I had a car do that once. It was a bad fuel pressure regulator, dumped a lot of gas into the oil and the excess pressure actually blew the dip stick out of the engine, poured oil and gas out too, but the card didn't run fine.

Re: Ready to run away from this car screaming

Well for all of those that tried to help I thank you. But it's a goner as soon as I can, Brought it to my mechanic, some of the work I can do myself but the Air bag and Antilock light needed some diagnostics. He found 2 bad wheel bearings, a melted wiring harness under the hood and at the rear of ...

Re: Ready to run away from this car screaming

I have the tools and the ability, just not the time. If my stinkin truck hadn't died I would take the time to fix this thing, but I can't keep taking my wife's car, then she is stuck home with the teenager and his appointments with no car. I do appreciate everyone's input. I am extremely frustrated ...

Needs tires, shocks, ELC pump

I know the antilock brake light is one of the wheel bearings, The freekin blower motor has been apart 6 times ...

ABS and Antilock brake light, low traction,

All,

The 03, when I start it, it comes on with the abs light, after about 15 miles of driving I get the antilock brake light. When braking slowly I get a low traction light.

Now here is the kicker, when scanned, autozone, it doesn't show any codes, I drove by advanced and they didn't find the code ...

Re: Delayed Blower Motor Engagement

The design is, IMO, bad. You can pull the motor, disasemble and clean it and it should work for quite awhile. I have pics of when I did this myself I just haven't posted them. (I'M LAZY). You would need to purchase electric motor cleaner in a spray can. I think there a written instructions on the ...

scary ride quality

My 2003 SE with 130k.

I hit a bump and the car jumps to the right and vibrates. This happens at speeds above 40.

I bounced the front and it seems ok ..IE: push down and it bounces once. I bounced the back and it keeps going 4 or 5 times. I looked at the rear shocks and noted the tube running to it ...

Ummm...Tell the kid to walk. Yes I have 20 year old, and guess what....she walks. I offered her a car at 16 and she turned it down, said she didn't want to work for it IE: didn't want to pay for the ins. I offered again at 18 and she said the car was ugly and still couldn't come up with the money ...

Re: lifter tick?

Sounds like an exhaust leak to me. Now u have a video of it running. put the covers back on and do the same video. See if the volume changes. It would stand to reason if it is the engine it would be louder with the covers off and a least a little quieter with them on. Take it to Monro or Midas and ...

Thanks for the info. I tried one salvage yard today cause it's close to me and they won't sell the ignition, they are concerned I might have stolen the car. The key won't turn

All,

Went to go to Maryland last night and the key won't turn. The car is in park, the steering wheel seems to be unlocked. I can not get the vehicle out of park, when I put the key in it will move a millimeter and charge the fuel pump and that is all. I tried moving the shifter, banging it around ...
