TL;DR
But congrats. About time you got the win. Way overdue.

My dad's like new, new ride
As some of you have seen, way back in 2005 my dad bought a new Dodge Magnum SXT. He used his car to drive a lot for work and rolled up 300,000 miles in the first 7 years. They have since changed things so for the past 3 years he spent most of the time in loaner cars. Hence, he's got about 330,000 on ...

THought on this buffer?
Saw this Craftsman buffer on sale. Wondered if anyone has used on. Overall, pretty good reviews.

Woodward/Back to the Bricks Meet?
Figure we need to start nailing this down if anyone is interested.
I would be willing to host a gathering if people want to get together for this week. I live 72 miles north of Woodward, so it sound be a bit of a drive back and forth. But I'm only 10 miles from downtown Flint for the BttB event ...

Ok, I'm still debating if I'm coming Saturday or Sunday. If I'm coming Sunday I'll be there early.

When is the coin minting happening? I got 2 pieces of copper to use for them. One is a fairly large block, apx 3" x 5" x 6". Do you have something to cut it down with or should I have it cut in advance?

Did I mention I'll be there? I will. Probably Saturday. But maybe Tuesday. No Saturday.
I'm bringing a few door prizes. The people that can win them will be limited to what vehicles they have in their stable. It may be a lot of fun...or it could be a huge dud if no one has the automobiles I need ...

Re: Michigan summer meet 2015!
Let me know if you need aluminum. I work at a metal distributor. I can get a few pieces of stuff to donate.
Would your work by chance have any brass too? I was thinking we would be better off making the coins out of something harder than aluminum.
We don't stock a lot of it. But I'll go out and ...

I'll be honest, I tend to like "pimped out" cars more than most people. (Especially the lot of us here) But that was awful. And the video was worse than the car!

Re: Woodward 2015
Yeah, B2B is more 50's-70's muscle focused. I used to like that the cars were parked up and down Saginaw St so you could get close to them. But I don't really need that anymore.
It's cool, but not nearly Woodward amazeballs.

Re: Woodward 2015
I've been to the Bricks, not to Woodward. Based on the pictures I've seen, Woodward is a LOT bigger. But there are a lot of cars in Flint too. The cruise runs during the week, then downtown is shut down for the show that weekend. It''s worth seeing.

Re: Woodward 2015
I'd be willing to host a meet the Thursday-Sunday/Monday of Woodward if we can get a fair amount of people interested. I'm about an hour north of Detriot, but less than 20 minutes From the Back to the Bricks cruise in Flint that same weekend.

Re: Calipar paint color
I agree. They actually advertise 2 different Pontiac Blue's. The other is DE1618. It looks more like the old Pontiac engine color I remember. This is the metallic version, I guess.

I'm trying to get the closest i can to Tiffany Blue for my calipers. I think the best I'll get is Duplicolor DE1616 Pontiac Blue Metallic. But I can't find exactly what it looks like.
Here is a link to an Ebay item showing the can:
