Michigan summer meet 2015 - 5/5/15 update

Time to start planning!

June 12th - June 15th, same weekend as the 3800 meet.

Thursday evening - Early arrivals (please, not sooner than 6pm)
Friday - More arrivals, car washing, and Track day!
Saturday - Convoy out to the Intense meet in Detroit, photo opp tour, followed a bonfire, hanging out, etc.
Sunday - Kick back, relax, and departures.
Monday - Late departures

Track day - gates open at 5pm, plan is to arrive at the track at 5pm. Track rules here. Typically a test and tune is $25 to race, $15 to spectate. If you've never been to a track before and plan to run, a few basic things to know: Your battery must be held down securely, '00+ guys shouldn't need to worry about that. No leaks. I've never had them crawl under the car but they will notice the obvious things. And yes, you have to go to tech inspection to run. No missing lug nuts, seat belts have to be functional, etc...

I'd like to keep the formula mainly unchanged from previous meets; Bring a tent, bring food/money (we will be about 10 minutes away from most major chain restaurants, and of course plenty of grocery stores, I have a grill), drinks, modding, detailing, track day, and coin casting!

There will be more than enough room for tents. Plan on bringing something to sleep on (pad, air mattress) if you need, in case the weather drives people indoors. The spare bedroom will be reserved for the first couple who calls it.

I've got 10 acres, about 1/3 of it is tamed, and I do have outdoor cats that will be kept in a blocked off area, but if you have allergies come prepared.

Where is it you ask?
Near Huron Charter Township, off I-94 directly south of the Detroit Metro Airport. 35 minutes from the 3800 meet, and 20 minutes from Milan Dragway.

Absolutely in for sure! Unsure at this point if it will be just me, Heather and I, or the whole clan with the boys and Mia too, that planning will come later on though. I still have a ton of work to do before the meet on the Mutt, hope I get it all done!

For those wondering, I have moved and can no longer host these events, I just don't have the room anymore. They have always been amazing to host and be a part of, I think Matt will do a great job as host though! Of course I will being my detailing supplies as well as a bunch of tools for whatever comes up.

I wanna say I'll be at this one, but I also want to attend Woodward. I guess the plus is, is that it's a shorter drive for me to Matt's than it was to Ryan's old place.

I will do my best to get the GP done in time for this. I might just use the original T5 to get it done and just wait for it to blow up that way I finish on time.

Either way though, I should be there and ready for a track day in one of my cars.
