Are there any instructional videos on how to replace the heater core? Mine also needs replacing.

Re: Heads up display

I have taken my dash board apart several times. The one problem that I have learned that happens is the wire connector on the back of the HUD control will not be plugged in all the way. It will cause the same issue that you are experiencing.

You are exactly correct!! I had the same exact problem ...

Re: Mass air flow sensor repeated failure??

You have to realize that when it comes to electronics China is not the best quality.
Over there they cold solder plus there are impurities in their metal.
It is cheaper and that's why they do it but quality is not good.
The solder joints have a tendency to crack and open up.
I had a problem with ...

Re: Mass air flow sensor repeated failure??

I also use the Hitachi MAF0047 and have had no problems.
It is a high quality OEM part not like all the Chinese garbage out there.
Price is $80.00 from Amazon.
One day delivery.
Apparently this is my problem. As you stated "chinese garbage knock offs". Please excuse my ignorance because this is ...

Re: Mass air flow sensor repeated failure??

What brand?
In my experience an OEM equivalent is best, Hitachi is a reliable replacement.
The brand I have been buying is
BDFHYK Mass Air Flow Sensor Meter for $29.99 off amazon. I honestly havent had any issues with inferior parts off amazon in the past but apparently this must be my issue ...

Mass air flow sensor repeated failure??

For the life of me I can't figure out why my new replacement MAF sensors keep failing after only 2 or 3 weeks of operation on my ssei.

When they stop working, there is always no airflow readings or "0" voltage and a P0102 code is generated (Mass or volume air flow sensor "A" circuit low).

I've ...

Re: 2000 bonneville ssei TCC code P0742 .... what's the fix

Goodness I am having the same code but a slightly different problem. My tranny starts to shift extremely hard between all gears for a period of time. I was hoping this wouldn't be a major fix but apparently it is. But what is strange is that when I clear this code the hard shifting goes away. So I ...

What were your gauges showing and what was the ambient temp and humidity?

I promise you its just low freon. Spend $5 at Walmart and put a 12oz can in, you'll be happy you did.
The temp was 87 degrees with 47% humidity.
Here's the a pic of the gauges.

Re: Interesting O2 sensor problem but maybe not for the expe

O2 voltages will range from 0.0-5.0v, not just the small .25v change you are seeing. Probably a bad o2 sensor. Also check the #20 underhood fuse before doing anything.
Well I've just replaced the o2 sensor and still getting very similar readings as the old one and I'm still in a open loop status ...

Ok thanks for the input. I've already ordered a 02 sensor. What does the #20 fuse power?

Interesting O2 sensor problem but maybe not for the experts!

Hello there my fellow Bonneviller's. I'm having an interesting issue with my o2 sensor (bank 1 sensor 1) and could use some expert help. I have a 2000 ssei that keeps displaying a 0134 code.

The engine dies during deceleration, and I'm stuck in open loop mode all the time. But I can't figure out ...

Re: AC is fully charged but not blowing cold air??

Sorry, but that silly little gauge isn't telling you anything, I was assuming you were using proper gauges. You need to know high and low sides, and even then it doesn't tell you how much freon is in the system, just the pressures.

Hello everyone. I recently acquired a 2000 Bonny ssei with 275,000 miles. Its been in the family since 2000 and was recently passed down after my grandmothers passing. I own a 08 GP naturally aspirated and always have loved the 3800 engines. I'm new to the supercharged version of this engine and ...

Re: AC is fully charged but not blowing cold air??

How do you know it's fully charged? If you have a set of gauges does the low side drop with the a/c on and high side increase?

Take a look at the a/c clutch with the engine running and see if it's engaged with the a/c turned on inside. If you're not sure turn the a/c off and see if there's a ...
