Re: My new car
ohh yea. You have the 8 cylinder. You can tell me what the mileage difference is between 6 and 8. But you have the V. Is it a fair comparison?

Re: My new car
yea, it's a whole lot more fun to drive than the DTS was. I got 25 mpg on my last highway trip, and am getting 18.5 mpg in the city.

Re: My new car
I selected the 6 instead of 8 because I wanted AWD and thought mileage would really suffer with the 8. Also I chose the STS because my golf clubs fit in the trunk. The back seat of the CTS needs to be put down to fit clubs in it. (I know, priorities, right?).

Re: My new car
Yea..I searched the area for months to find a black/black STS. What did Henry Ford say?... "I like any color as long as it's black"
It's mostly because I like a dark interior, and there aren't a lot of STS AWD with dark interiors. Plus I was looking only at cars with the right mileage v.s. year ...

Re: What did you do to your car today?
I washed mine, clay barred the top surfaces, and waxed it all. Does anyone else wax their windows? I think it makes the water run off better. Less greasy than the rainX stuff.
Cleaned the interior; carpet, seats, door panels. ahhh.

Re: Exhaust tip recommendation
Yea, I know, life got in the way. Ha. Its been soo darn cold around here, I can't eve get it washed. I bought it early January and it has been below zero most of those days, and it has snowed the rest of those days. (That's not even the back of my car, but its an exact match). Pictures will be up as ...

Re: abs and traction controll problems
It's A GM
I had a similar issue. my Driver Information Center spit a code for ABS and traction control for the offending wheel hub.
I had to replace the hub assembly on my car since the sensor is in the hub for my car. Pontiac sensors are not part of the hub assembly IIRC.

That is exactly what happened to mine! Truck suddenly stopped in the middle of a turn and bam! Darn truck hitches

Insurance took care of mine.
Isn't insurance involved for your vehicle?

if your insurance company is worth anything, they would deal with the neighbor and their insurance. You should not have to deal with it.

Re: arggh. something hit my car!
OK. One last post and I will put this to rest.
About a year ago I lost heat in my drivers seat. I was bummed. I spent the past year wondering/thinking/researching prices and ways I could fix it.
Well....this morning I must have unknowingly pushed the heat button on the arm rest because my bum ...

Now the results.
I am so pleased with Marshalls Auto Body. They did a great job, and it is guaranteed for life. They took care of all the details. They stripped the door of all trim and then painted the entire door panels; YES, I said panel(s) they painted the front and rear doors on the left side ...

It's funny that when i stop at intersections, I can hear the fuel slosh around in the gas tank... The car could use a bit more insulation

Still don't have it back.
It should have been ready Tuesday, but they called and said they need an extra day because they accidently scratched the tint on the window and need to have it re-tinted. They took the window out and took it somewhere.... That was nice of them. They are also replacing the ...

Re: arggh. something hit my car!
I guess I didn't explain what happened well enough. After I talked to the agent, I got the call from the adjuster who said it was comp. I think it is too late in the process to change minds now...(at least I hope so) I take it in on Wednesday.

Re: arggh. something hit my car!
excellent. I talked to my agent and she said by the way I described it, I didnt run over it, so it's not collision. They will cover it under comprehensive.
That means only $100 deductible!!
If it was said to be covered by collision insurance, it would have been $500 deductible...AND they would ...
