Re: Best way to tell you need new shocks/struts?

When I had the 01 SE i had the rears changed at 115k because the rear strut mount plates were making all kinds of noise over bumps...the front ones I never touched. By the time I traded it in, the car needed front struts..140k on the clock.

Re: Bad ground somewhere, maybe?

Just to add my 2 cents....My 97, if i lock it, the car locks and arms itself, and then for five minutes the lights will stay on at night, then decide to go off. Had that ever happen to you? It did it tonight, where is the brains of the electric located in the car? A while back the car would shut off ...

Re: Damaged wheel

Im with everyone else, get the rim replaced. If you do however, accept their offer for the $75 ... in business law they may consider that a contract and call it a day.

I take my car to NTB only because I had purchased a 3 year alignment with them. The 18 yr old who had more fun test driving my car ...

Re: my Super Sport

I have to agree with the seats and handling. (I actually read this post, went for a spin and came back. haha) Anyway, It does handle well, I do agree, that the car is a cheaper Caddy...people in my family have purchased them, never totally impressed with a Cadillac to be honest.

I test drove a ...

Re: my Super Sport

Thanks everyone.....Let me go down the list of questions here:

1. I know 0.00% about urethane sway endlinks. Where are they located and what exactly do they do? Again, im electrical, not mechanical....yet.

2. I've thought about an exhaust. Im happy with what's on there now, when I get through some ...

Re: CCFL lamps?

Yeah its a tough decision. Thats pretty much a months car payment right there. I was driving home tonight and its like "I can deal with this for now". Im going to look for HID projectors. That, that would be worth the upgrade.

Thank you for your input

CCFL lamps?

Hey everyone,

I know i've been MIA lately, college is keeping me more than busy. Business Law classes..woohoo.

Anyway, Im trying to find a brighter low-beam lamp for my Impala. Sylvania doesnt make a silverstar or even a step above stock lamp for the H9 and H11 bulbs...
I found these.... http ...

Humidity isnt a culprit to my knowledge. Do you hit a bump in the road when this problem occurs. Drive around with the lamps on and find a bump in the road, or tap the visors and see if thats the root of the problem.

possible early trans failure sign??

Driving home today in my 1997 LeSabre and tried to get up to speed on the highway.
The engine speed accelerated but the car didnt move all that much. It should have gone from 50 to 60 in like 3 seconds...not 10.

Around town, if im accelerating from 0-45..and drive like a poppop (no ...

Re: crusty antifreeze?

How hard is it to flush? I havent had time to do it, the car's parked. I know Prestone makes a great product, i had that in the Bonneville and currently in the LeSabre...no issues.

Just for facts - what if someone flushed their system and put the old school green coolant in opposed to the Dex ...
