And it was fun too. And it's also a pride thing knowing that I did it myself and didn't just pay someone else to.

72 'stang engine repainting

So my buddy and I repainted my engine and engine bay in my Mustang. I think it's pretty amazing what 2 guys, a week, and a bunch of spray paint can accomplish.

Re: PCM Question

It's probably not far off though on the higher end models (Cadillac maybe?). Our MINI has the datalogger in the key. When we go to the dealership, all they do is stick the key into a reader ring thing, and it brings up all of our information as well as some vehicle data.

Re: check out the lambo door kit on this bonne

Some people drive to work and the grocery store. What's the point of having a 400hp car that you can only drive 25? For some people, style is a better way to spend money. Personally I like to get a little of both. I'm not big on lambo doors, but I've always thought making the rear door suicide would ...

Re: Removing dash

The gauges are easy, you just take the same piece off that you did for the radio. Then there is the upper trim piece around the gauges themselves. That part is a little tricky because of the headlight switch. You might just have to kind of bend it out of the way. Then you take out about 4-8 bolts (I ...

Re: Removing dash

Are you looking at removing the entire dash, or just the radio surround? What exactly do you need to remove it for?

You would think that it would have to go somewhere though. Why else have it otherwise?

Re: slight vibration

The engine always vibrates. The mounts keep it from transferring to the body.

Re: Park Avenue Questions

It looks like you will probably have to remove the entire door panel to remove the speaker grille and access that switch. While you are in there, hit up the inside portion (if you can) of the door hinge thingy. Other than that, just keep spraying the outer hinges. It sometimes takes quite a bit to ...

Re: Thoughts on my ad?

I agree with moving the "bad" info to the bottom. Get them interested, don't turn them away. Maybe put hp (stock or if you have what it is with the mods) rating? Oh, and mileage (kilometerage?) Maybe retail price on the mods (super charger, pulley, msd parts.)

Re: lug socket

When I worked at Wal-Mart, we used what was called a flip socket. One side had 19mm and the other had 21mm. Fit the majority of vehicles that came in. It was a 1/2" drive and you needed an extension to get it on a breaker bar and torque wrench. Come in handy more than once at home too :)

Re: 95 SSEi w/Super low miles

I'd say $3500-$4000 wouldn't be bad. It is old, yes. But it is low miles, so if this is the car you've been looking for it may be worth it to pay a little more.

Not sure of all, but my mom's '95 bonneville had a series II. First year for them IIRC.

That is pretty funny. If I did it though, I would do it right. Reinforcement and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't take it through a car wash.

I've heard a little about what's going to happen to it. Keep me updated, that hood has some history to me.

Love this shot. I would crop some of the sky out though, it's a little more aggressive with less sky in the frame.

Looks sharp. Not fond of the wheels, but that's just my opinion. Too much chrome for how dark the car is.

Re: Convertable top on a Bonneville??

I always wanted to chop the top on a bonne. I think it would look cool. It would take a lot of work to reinforce the body though. And building a soft top would be very difficult. A removable hard top would be nice, but of course you would need a place to store it when it was off the car.

Re: '72 Mustang

Not sure on the dif. I haven't really dug into it that much yet. I only got to drive it a couple of months after I bought it before I had to store it for winter.

And I'm not complaining about power loss with the tranny. I don't have a tach, so I'm not exactly sure, but when I'm cruising at 60-65 ...
