Wet trunk and rear floor after rain

Hey guys, for the past few months I've been noticing that it's wet in the trunk and the rear floorboard after it rains. I've checked the door seals and the trunk seals time and again to no avail. This happens when the car is sitting in the yard all by itself. A good shower of rain, and it's wet ...

Re: lost dash gauge function - help

Seems that the trip Odometer resets itself when the dash comes back to life. Had a similar situation with our Blazer this past winter. Had to replace the instrument cluster to solve that.
Worked properly when i got in the car this morning, but half-way to work, everything froze up and went ...

Re: Battery Issue- 95 Series 1

I am having an issue with my battery keeping charged. I had to jump start the car after it was parked in the garage. I did the old vehicle to vehicle jump start and the ol bonny fired right up. i drove the car for a few hours and stopped here and there and all was well. i parked the car again and ...

Re: blinker indicators glow after LED bulbs install

You could add resistors inline with the bulbs. That would make the circuit act more like an incandescent bulb was installed. I don't know the resistance you would need, though.

wouldnt that make the bulbs less bright though?

You may find that you need resistors in parallel around the LED bulbs ...

Re: A Rock, a Pipe, And a Cracked Wheel.

Heading down Windsor Rd. in Loves Park and I ran over a rock that was sticking out of a water pipe missing its cover. It went through the tire and it ended up denting AND putting a nice crack through the left rear wheel. The bump was so hard it busted off what attached the left taillight to the car ...

Re: Vents don't blow air out with fan running

Your reservoir is not in the same place as 96 and newer. Yours (and older cars) is located right beside the maxifuse relay center cover under the hood, between the cover and the WS wiper motor assembly. It looks like the cover extension, but isn't. Black plastic. Look for the vacuum line on the ...

Re: Vents don't blow air out with fan running

I have eletronic controls. I check the vacum tank under the RF fender today and didn't see anything wrong with the tank or the line. I check the line wree it goes into the fire wall but its tape up and will have to look at tomorrow. Was about 100 degrees out today and was about to pass out from the ...

I'm wondering if this is also the problem I have with the diverter "wandering" from the defrost to the dashboard vents. It almost seems random where the cold air is going to blow.

Missing AC Blower motor cooler nipple

I just replaced the blower motor/fan in my '95 SSE. (Thanks to others for posting help that made it easier I would have made it!)

Anyway, browsing the search results I find that the "hole" I have in my fan motor and the other "hole" in my firewall are actually supposed to have a hose for cooling ...

That is the blower motor cooler tube... The nippled has snapped off.... Common of the 94-96 or so bonnevilles to do that

Not to change the subject, but I found this post hunting for "blower" this afternoon. I just replaced the blower (thanks to directions in another thread making is way simpler ...

Re: Where is the blower control module on 2001 Park Avenue?

If the system is similar to the Bonnevilles, and it appears that it is, the blower motor itself is the more likely cause. Both the blower motor and the blower motor control module is behind the right side of the dash. If you pull off the lower panel, and look up, you should be able to see it. When ...

Where is the blower control module on 2001 Park Avenue?

OK, I admit I'm not all that observant about cars, so my failure to notice this at first may seem stupid.

My wife's 2001 Park Avenue with split Driver/passenger ECC started failing intermittently to turn on the blower recently. And now it's more off than on, so the AC isn't working.

On both my ...

Re: 2001 Park Avenue Security light

There seems to be some confusion with PK3 key programming. Maybe I am the confused one, but I thought they were programmable with no tools?

IIRC, the procedure is:
Take a functioning, programmed key and cycle the ignition to run. Now, within 5 seconds, turn key off, remove, install new key and ...

I see the references to blanks on eBay. If I get a third, how hard is ...

Re: 2001 Park Avenue Security light

Clean the resistor on your key with a tiny bit if rubbing alcohol and a rag, see if that helps. This sounds VATS related, but cannot be sure.

No resistor on this one.

01 should have the PK3. Could be the VTD, but that usually causes the vehicle to not start. Could try doing a security re-learn ...

2001 Park Avenue Security light

Hey guys, I cannot find much about this, and I don't have an owners manual for the car.

It it is a 3800 series 2001 Buick Park Avenue. (I bought it because I have had such a wonderful experience with the Bonneville SSE 3800.)

Recently the security light will come on after the car is started and ...
