you need a diagram of the dock and lock harness that tells you what each wire is connected to. This is for the SE with no amplifier. You will lose the door chimes with your adaptor. Check the wiring against this..

I cant post pictures but I have the american international gwh356r... it has 8 speaker wires (4- 4+) 6 brown wires, 3 ground wires, a illumination wire, and the constant 12v acc wires I have everything connected accordingl NO POWER

brake lights
so all of a sudden about a week ago my brake lights stop working on my 2000 bonneville ssei. if i turn on my lights the tail lights come on but when i tap on the brakes....nothing. ive checked the stop lp fuse in the fuse box next to the battery and its good...any advice

they also have two wires split from the cigarette lighter, if i decide to just rerun all the wires could i use these two wires for constant power and accessory?

Woah here guys.....if the ribbon cable is broken then he needs to replace it, Getting adapters, and wiring to the factory amp will not work.
You need to get a replacement ribbon cable. I would contact Harofreak 00 here on the club, and see if he has a dash harness with the ribbon cable still ...

trunk release
not sure if this is the right place for this but my whoever had my vehicle before me decided to dig out the key hole to the trunk and the trunk release button is not working. i checked the relay and it was missing so i took the relay from the park lamp and swapped them...nothing anything ideas?

Would I run all those wires from the factory amp? Just trying to get an idea of my options. Do you have the factory amp? I was under the impression your audio system was torn out. If I were going aftermarket, I wouldn't use a factory amp. It's relatively straightforward to wire up an aftermarket ...

Ah, well that's different. For aftermarket radio you'll ned to run all new wires for the antenna, illumination, power, ground, speakers, and possibly amp turn-on. It's a bit of work, but you can do it.
