Post by siixmac7414 »

I made sure the 12v constant and acc are connected. the harness I bought h a s 3 black wires all I assume are ground wires since on the legend it only list one black wire and that is the ground. Everything is connected still nothing. Any help?

you need a diagram of the dock and lock harness that tells you what each wire is connected to. This is for the SE with no amplifier. You will lose the door chimes with your adaptor. Check the wiring against this..
B1 is at the top right and A16 is at the bottom left on the dock and lock
A1 data bus
A2 data bus
A3 not used
A4 FM composite signal - not needed for aftermarket
A5-A6 not used
A7 -A8 onstar
A9-A11 aux input for trunk CD or Satellite Radio
A12 L rear speaker +
A13 LR speaker -
A14 RF speaker -
A15 RF speaker +
A16 ground
B1 and B2 battery positive voltage - use one of these to radio power lead
B3 Antenna Enable - connect to the power antenna out from your radio to enable the antenna module otherwise nop reception
B4 Backlight Lamps Control
B5 Ground
B6-B11 not used
B12 LF speaker +
B13 LF speaker -
B14 RR speaker (-)
B15 RR speaker +
B16 ground

The power to the radio from the dock and lock B1 and B2 is on the retained accessory power circuit so it will only be on when the ignition switch is in ACC or ON position and stays on for 10 minutes after you turn the car off, or when you open the driver's door with the key in off position which ever comes first.
