missing coolant

missing coolant

checked all fluids today, found about a 1/2" o 1/4" of coolant in the resiovor. Opened hte radiotor, fluid was right up to the cap (if this matters??)

checked the underside of the cap, found this....

look bad?? can't smell burning coolant, can't see smoking exhuast ( can i see that through my rear window?)

any ideas?

There is a trans cooler located inside the radiator. Odds are that you have a leak and are mixing your coolant and trans fluid. I had the same thing happen to me and replaced the radiator.

looks like Dex sludge to me. Coolant flush. Keep an eye on trans fluid as well.
