Proud new 05 GXP owner (new clean pics added 1-30-09)

Post by harofreak00 »

Yes, you're reading that right. I just won an ebay auction for an 05 GXP, for FAR below market value.

Image

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... &viewitem=

Somehow, I had zero bidding competition and won directly at the Reserve price. The car is 1900 miles away from me, down in LA, Cali. I'll be flying down there sometime next week and driving it home. Hence the reason for this post: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=8519

I am not worried about the condition of the car as I have done a CarFax on it and also have all the dealer printouts. It has been a single owner vehicle, owned by the CEO of a company. All the service records are there and it has never been wrecked.

Here is the KBB value on it.
Condition Value
Excellent $10,245
Good $9,520
Fair $8,595

The original plan is to buy and resell for a profit, but when I get it home, the garage might have to be cleaned out for a newer, lower mileage car :-$

Here is my projected profit if things go as planned:

You lucky bastid... :beerchug:

Got an 05' GXP with 90k for what I'm finding 03' SSEis with more mileage for...lol.

I have a feeling you'll be wanting to keep that GXP. If not, I'll take it off your hands haha.

Not parting it ;)

I can't afford this car without the banks help. Notice the interest column?

No parts are coming off this car, not even to go on my own.

Good find Andrew! =D>
I think you will like the GXP but the SSEi will have its advantages particularly in mileage.
The GXP should feel a bit heavier in the front end so be sure to post your subsective comparisons.

Ya, the 22-24mpg on the way home is a LOT worse than my SSEi's 30+.

Amazingly it seems they only WANTED $6,900 out of it, as advertised on that for sale sign. Wonder why? They could have asked for twice that and got it. Notice the "300HP V8"...

I found that very weird also. KBB value is actually higher in CA compared to MN too.

Only thing I can think is that it probably sat in their possession for a very long time with little interest. I think we're going to see a significant drop in GXP prices because not many people want a big, heavy V8 vehicle in these times.
