Been a member here for many years and would like to thank you all for the good times and the great advice on repairs.
I gave my son my 01 Bonneville SE. He blacked out and hit a wood light pole at 40mph. On the passenger side.
He is fine other than a bruised knee. Blessed he wasn't injured and neither was anyone else.
Passenger side corner lamp was point of impact. Ripped the wheel off shoved it so hard it pushed the door and floorboard in and up. Grateful their wasn't a passenger. Roof even crinkled.
Airbag didn't leave any marks on him at all which was the first time I'd seen that.
Don't have the room in my yard to store the car to part it out. So I had to sell it for scrap.
Not before I took the GXP tail lights and center reflector off.
If anyone's needing all three pieces of the GXP tail lights and trunk reflector. I have them on eBay and I'll be glad to make a deal for a forum member.
Maybe I'll find another Pontiac and visit again some day.
Thanks again for all your help over the years!
The Bonneville is totaled.
