Just installed new JBL GX speakers and it sounds like crap!

Just had some new JBL GX speakers (2.3 ohms) installed in my 2002 SSEi with Monsoon sound system - and it sounds like crap!

That Monsoon amp along with the head unit really are hard to get to sound good with speakers...

the original speakers are 2 ohms, correct?

I am not sure about the rear 6x9s or front 6.5"s with 1" tweeters - but the rear door 5.25"s were stamped with a 4 ohm.

Update...

The installer installed a speaker out a phase...

Once it was corrected - the sound (on WELL recorded music) is FANTASTIC!

These JBL GX speakers (2.3 ohms) really work well with the Monsoon amp.

The speakers are very revealing - which means if you feed them well recorded music they sound great.

However, if they are fed just average recorded music they really do not sound that good.

So well recorded CDs sound great - radio not so much...
