I'm not sure if there's room but you could thread in one of the bolts in through the back so it's a few mm from seated, put a socket and extension on it and bump it with a mini sledge.

get a thin flat screwdriver anound hub assembly working all the way around evenly
lightly pry about 1 mm / 1 thousands of inch at a time in one spot. then work your way around the hub - nice and slowly - keep it even

^^ Be careful with that mating surface since it's aluminum and soft.

Let that thing eat some PB Blaster for an hour or two, that has never failed me yet.

I used a slide hammer to get them off. You can probably rent one.

Well I have been soaking it with PB Blaster for two days. And I spray where the axle nut was up through the splines and also where it mated with the knuckle. This car was bought in Michigan so I imagine the winters of salt isn't doing me any favors. This actually is not on my Bonneville GXP, it's on my 'O8 Grand Prix GXP. The Bonneville was definitely easier, I was drinking beer in under an hour. Lol. Thanks Guys for the help!!! I will try everything suggested. Will keep you posted.

So how does the speed sensor connector and wire go through the hub. With the drive axle attached.

Don't you just put the connector through, then seat the hub on the axle splines after?

That's kinda what I thought, but figured I would ask. There just doesn't seem like there is enough room with the axle shaft attached. Can I move the axle and cv joint around to get the connector through there??

yes, try moving the wheel and see if you can wiggle it through - last ditch attempt - you could cut the connector off and reconnect once you got it through.

The axle nut should be undone at this point, giving you enough room. The axle can also compress toward the trans a bit too.
