02 Buick Regal

Talk about the other 3800 powered GM cars, particularly for items not covered in other sections that may be unique to your year/model, and differ from a Bonneville.

The process is similar on many (but not all GM vehicles). For the regal, it should be the same as the Bonneville and Cadillac STS. Read through this post and I've documented important details about removing and reinstalling the glass. Geometry and alignment of parts on reassembly is critical so read carefully.

Now another problem with the wife's car. It quit on us 2 miles from home this morning, the engine quit and I coasted to a stop, called the tow truck and is sitting in my garage now. As far as I know the only electrical item that has ever been changed out was the MAS. I was hoping it was the ICM but I swapped it out with the ssei and still will not start. I did that because the wife said a month ago the car quit on her a few times in town but started up and she went on here way and didn't happen since. I hear the fuel pump start and stop when the ignition is turned on, the fuel pressure at the rail sprays out good when I pushed the schrader valve in so, I have the crank sensor, maf and, the throttle position sensor and, possibly the cam position sensor if, that car has one, not sure. Where would you guys start or should I just replace all those sensors being the car is an 02 and has 150K on it. Thanks ahead of time

Well I checked the Throttle Position Sensor which seems to be good other than only 4 volts at wide open throttle. Most youtuber's showed over 4.5 volts but, I'm leaning towards the crank or cam sensor being the way it tries to start like its out of timing or having a crossed ignition wire which it does not
