Dash Overlay

I am contemplating a minor project for the interior. I am looking at approaching it from 2 different directions.

Option #1

Swapping out my dash panel with that of a GXP to get the silver backed gauges. According to Andrew mileage chip is not swappable. finding one with my exact mileage is *dang* near impossible AND there is an issue with low coolant being flashed on the DIC as well... So mod is required...

Option #2

taking both panels apart. remove the needles, remove the overlays, swap overlay, reinstall needles. Keeps mileage, no DIC messages, no "mods"

I did option 2 to my Yukon when I installed an Escalade overlay (just bought the overlay off Amazon. I know in our world aftermarket generally does not exist....

GXP has a different sweep for the speedometer, so you'd be off on the mileage, and the boost gauge would read volts but show boost. That's why the chips aren't swappable. Because then the cluster acts like an SSEi cluster.

He doesn't have an SSEi, just an SLE. The mileage chip swap would totally work, except for the speedo being off.
