Motor Mounts and related hardware
I was changing my brakes and I saw that the weight on my front passenger motor mount had rusted through the metal band holding it to the motor mount. My questions are what is its purpose and can i drive without it without damaging the car or myself?

Yes, worn or broken motor mounts should be replaced.
